■ Internship Department: Application Platform Services (APS)
■ Short Internship Description: To assist my Project Manager (Mr Deepak NAIR) in his dailyactivities

Scope of Work
61
■ My job was to assist my Project Manager (Mr Deepak Nair) in his everyday activities.
■ This involved:– Weekly internal project meetings for various projects– Weeklymeetings with external technical vendors such as
Accenture andCapgemini– Providing quick andaccurate responses to the other teams
involved in the project whenposted– Taking on certain components of the project based on my
ownskill-set
What IAchieved
■ Main Achievement – Through understanding of cryptography in CS4236, I designed, documented and presented (to the company’s Head of Treasury IT) a solution for the Digital Signing of Payment Files to ensure the end-to-end transmission of files are secured (in terms of integrity)
■ Independently attend and lead daily meetings with the Accenture SAP development team in my last 2 months of the internship.
■ Requested by my Project Manager to stay on for another 6 months in order to handle the management of the encryption solution independently.

■ There are other options to have a fulfillingATAP (internship) experience other than a developer role based internship.
■ Don’t be overwhelmed by the amount of unfamiliar things you come across at thestart of the job.Have faith in your own knowledge to begin with, and an attitude tokeep improving. Keep setting intermediate goals and before you know it, you’ll besurprised what you can do in a few months!
