TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching through both formal and informal mechanisms is a central component of my academic career.

Academic courses taught include an elective, U.S. Mental Health Policy, and a core class, Health Systems and

Policy, required of all Masters of Public Health candidates at Rutgers School of Public Health. I’ve received

mean student evaluations on overall course quality of 5/5 and 4.6/5 and on teaching effectiveness of 5/5 and

4.6/5, for U.S. Mental Health Policy and Health System and Policy, respectively. Since arrival to Rutgers in

Fall 2015, I have trained a diverse array of students as members of my research team, including three

undergraduate, twelve Masters-level, and four Doctoral-level students. Students on my research team attend

routinely scheduled team meetings to build capacity in conducting research.
