Director and Correspondent Voice

Today when the world is stopped in this pandemic the THOMASIAN has become unstoppable. Every students’ dedication and passion expresses in the form of many shapes of their thoughts like poem, articles, imaginary projects and dotted every thoughts as creatives. Though nature has forced us to get ourselves locked in the boundaries. But these little thoughts have pushed me to launch this magazine to show the world the power of THOMASIAN as “THOMASIAN VOIZE”. This Magazine express the extreme power of imagination, continuous effort of learning, most effectively every student dedication. Through this magazine we are pleased and honour to share with you the message from the stalwarts of ‘Thomasian community’ and luminaries from the field of education. You will also discover a wealth of contribution from students in the form of useful and interesting write-ups and other materials. It is not just a text but the splendours of picture and images within the pages that speaks volume about the enriching events, activities and celebration held in the precincts of our school. I extend the heartfelt and gratitude to our Principle for her creative and invaluable inputs that guided and navigated in the fruition of the magazine. Special appreciation to the assiduous team of teachers and students who have endeavoured to the hilt to the task at hand for days to ensure that encomium stays current and vibrant. “God’s blessings and Happy Reading”

Principal’s Voice

Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never

cease to grow” says Antony J.D’Angelo. I am pleased to announce that for the first time we are publishing “THOMASIAN VOIZE”. This Magazine ignites the imagination of our learners. The write-ups of our young writers will undoubtedly hold the interest and admiration of the readers. The drawings by our talented Thomasians give a peep into their expressive and creative mind.

Our Moto says “Aspiring for excellence” it means you do your best and produce excellent work, both in academic and extracurricular activities.

As Excellence is not a skill; it is an attitude” says Ralph Marston. So it cannot be taught at home or school but it should be motivated and inspired by parents and teachers. Excellence is about stepping outside the comfort zone and accepting the trials and hurdles.

To achieve excellence in one’s field it calls for a certain amount of sacrifice. “People who aspire for excellence do a common thing in an uncommon way. Once we are on the road to excellence, though it is hard we will not settle for anything less. Like an eagle once we experience the heavens, it is hard to live below the clouds. Here at St. Thomas Academy we put all our students on the road to excellence, give a taste of it and they will definitely continue to aspire for excellence in everything they do.

I salute the staff and students who worked hard to bring their ideas into expression. The STA, editorial team feels privileged in presenting this special issue in this critical situation Covid-19. I am sure that the efforts and innovative ideas exhibited by our young Thomasian minds will surely stir the minds of the readers and take them to the fantastic world of joy and pleasure. “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit “says Aristotle.

“God’s Blessings and Happy Reading”

STA Editorial The aim of our school magazine STA VOIZE is to capture the various slices of activities, curricular and co-curricular, the tit bits of joys which we have lived passionately as one family. We feel privileged to be associated with the editorial committee of our school magazine "STA VOIZE". St. Thomas Academy is on the right track in shaping the destiny of our children and equipping them to face challenges in life. The pace at which technological, emotional and social changes are taking place, equipping our children merely with knowledge from books is inadequate, especially in the current scenario. Empowerment of our children through their development into wholesome personalities is the need of the hour and that's what STA VOIZE mainly focuses on. STA VOIZE Editorial Committee . EDUCATOR’S THOUGHT "Creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge, knowledge makes you great” said by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Dr. Kalam's quote best describes how education must be structured in our country to feed the curious minds of Indian youth. When we teach our children to be creative, we equip them to face challenges of life. Creativity and knowledge should go hand in hand for the development of the society.

Let me just stress here that morals and values are also an integral part of a child’s education. Ms. C.Swathi Bala
