Please remind your student to check the lost and foundbins Our lost and found is currently overflowing withMcAuliffe hoodies Also please remember to write your studentrsquos name oncoats uniforms lunch boxes and water bottles Having their names on theiritems will help in returning items to the correct owner

Please note that we do not allow students to wear costumes to school onHalloween Instead students are encouraged to wear their favorite college gearfor College Spirit Day next Thursday October 31st Students must still wearblack or tan uniform bottoms

Lastly I hope you can join us this evening for the DPS School Board CandidateForum at 530pm in the auditorium This is a great opportunity for ourcommunity to meet the candidates that we will be voting for on November 5thand learn where they stand on issues that impact all DPS schools

8th Grade Congressional Hearings - November 15th - Judges NeededMcAuliffe 8th grade students have begun their Constitution Unit in SocialStudies The culminating project for this unit is a performance-based simulationcalled ldquoCongressional Hearingsrdquo in which students will showcase theirknowledge of the Constitution through a simulated Hearing of Congress to apanel of judges For more information please read the attached letter If you areinterested in being a judge please click here
