Assembly tomorrow – Parents & Friends Meeting after Assembly

LITTLE YOGA CLUB

There will be NO Yoga Club next Tuesday.

LEVEL SHOWCASES

It has been fantastic to witness the showcases put on by each level to display their inquiry learning for the term. Our students have accomplished so much during the term. Prep students made aeroplanes with their fathers at the Father’s Day Breakfast and last Friday Level 5/6 presented their stories to parents in the Gym. This evening Level 3/4 will present their display to parents at 6.30pm and on Monday the 18th September, Level 1/2 will perform Puppet Shows for their parents.

5/6 CAMP

A huge thank to the staff, parents and students for putting on such a great camp. As usual, our students were brilliant and took advantage of the opportunities presented to them. Thank you to the teachers and parents for giving up their time to allow our parents to have such great opportunities.

FETE NEWS

Our Fete is coming closer and there is still a lot to do. Thank you to all the parents who came along to the Fete meeting. It has been fantastic to see so much support for our Fete.

The following donations can be made at any time:

Wire coat hangers

Alcohol (we need to fill a wheelbarrow) - adults must bring the alcohol to the Office.

Pre-loved clothing

Pre-loved soft toys (please ensure they are clean).

From the beginning of Term 4 please bring in:

Trash & Treasure

Pre-loved clothing

Books

From the start of Term 4 the stall rosters will be on display in the foyer. It is an expectation that all parents will help on stalls or in setting up and packing up. There is plenty of time to help on a stall and still enjoy the Fete with your family. Please fill out your name on these rosters as soon as possible.

FOOTY COLOURS DAY

Don’t forget to come along tomorrow dressed in your footy colours.

District Athletics

Last Thursday, we had some very keen athletes board the bus for the Bill Sewart Track to compete in the District Athletics. All students displayed great sportsmanship and achieved some wonderful results. Overall TPS placed fourth in the track events, field events and ball games, resulting in a fifth place in the overall competition on the day. Broken down into the age group categories, our 9/10 and 11 year girls placed 4th and our 12/13 boys won their age group!

A huge THANK YOU to the parents who helped out on the day (or said they could before the rescheduling), especially given that the date was changed due to weather. Also to Miss Polmear and Mrs Sprague for helping our athletes get to where they needed to be at the time they needed to be there. A surprisingly demanding job, thank you.

Congratulations to those athletes heading on to Division;

Jay E – 100m, Emme B – 80m Hurdles,

Tyra V – Long Jump, Alyssa S - Discus,

Nick W – 100m, Long Jump, 4x100, Archie G – 200m, 4x100,

Josh B – 80m Hurdles, Triple Jump, 4x100, Harry K – Shot Put,

Rhys G – Discus, Ryan E – 4x100,

Jenna S – 80m Hurdles.

Good luck on the 12th October.

OSHClub News Before School / After School Care Program

Program Update Parent Information

It’s the end of week 9 and the children have

been able to get outside, and enjoy a bit of sun-shine and fresh air. Inside the children have been enjoying the

board games and kitchen set and creating their

own grass heads. The children have been doing

some very creative things with their craft using their own imagination, which is great to see.

We have made a decision to not use the oval for

outdoor play as it is extremely muddy at this time of year, so we will be using other play are-

as where possible.

We are hoping to get some art and craft going

with some newspapers, so if anyone has any at

home and they would be able to donate to Osh, that would be an amazing help.

Our numbers at the program are still really high

and seem to be very constant, so please remem-

ber to enroll your children. It is imperative that you book in your children online where possi-

ble. If you are unable to get online please give

us a call and leave a message etc.

Please feel free to call in and have a look at our

program. The best time to call in is BSC if possi-

ble, but you are certainly welcome anytime.

SATURDAY 11TH NOVEMBER

3:00PM - 8:00PM

Donations Wanted

We are seeking donations of clothes for our Vintage/Second Hand clothes stall for the upcoming fete. We will be having an adults, school uniform and babies/children section, so any items of lovely clean clothing that you no longer need would be greatly appreciated. Please make sure that the clothes you are donating are washed and in excel-lent condition - as you can appreciate, it is not much fun sorting through dirty and unwashed items. We cannot sell these things so please do not send them in. Due to hygiene reasons please also do not send any under garments. Donations can now be brought to school at anytime. Thank you in advance, we really appreciate your donations which will help raise money for our wonderful school.
