HOW TO GET STARTED

• Read these instructions carefully in order to use the SNA

ANC17 PPT template correctly

• You can edit these instructional slides or add new slides

• To add a slide:

Click New Slide (located at the Home Tab)

• Choose the appropriate Slide Template;

• If your slide contains a lot of text, do not choose a template that will reduce

readability

HOW TO GET STARTED

• To reuse a slide from another presentation:

Click New Slide (located at the Home Tab)

• Click Browse and select Browse File

• Select desired presentation, then choose slide(s) to import

• DO NOT click “Keep Source Formatting”

• Edit Slide as needed to fit into new template

• REMEMBER TO DELETE ALL INSTRUCTIONAL SLIDES

CHANGING SLIDE TEMPLATES

• We have 8 templates for section

headers and content slides

• You can choose the template

you want to use for each slide

by clicking New Slide and

selecting the template.

• Please use a template with a

white background for slides that

are image heavy

• Paragraph text should be Arial Narrow 26pt. If a bullet is not

needed, please delete it before typing.

Sub-bullet 1, Arial Narrow 22pt: Use to supplement information

• Sub-bullet 2, Arial Narrow 20pt Italic: Use to provide additional info

Sub-bullet 3, Arial Narrow 18pt. Do not use any more sub-bullets past this tier.

• Use the Indent More/Less to shift tab hierarchy (located at the

home tab)

FORMATTING TEXT + VERTICAL IMAGE

• Extend images to fit as much

vertical space as possible, touching

top and bottom of slide if optimal

Do NOT stretch images outside of

original ratio

Make use of cropping tool if needed:

• Select the image >

Picture Format tab > Crop

• Resize width of text box to fit your

image needs

• Extend images to fit as much horizontal space as possible, touching left and right of slide if optimal

• Select the image > Picture Format tab > Crop

• Resize height of text box to fit your image needs
