Love God...Love Others...Serve Together

Dear Brown Bag Lunch Group,

Thank you so much for the time of fellowship and the opportunity to share with you about the mission of Project Elf. We are busier than we have ever been and your donations of backpacks,

hygiene items, shoes, undergarments, monetary donations, socks, and school supplies are so appreciated and have already helped in filling the many requests we continue to receive.

We truly could not do it without the generosity, help, and prayers from groups such as yours. Terri Hozhabri / Project Elf

Thank you for the beautiful floral arrangement sent in Doug’s memory. We appreciate our friends at HP. The phone calls, the visits to Doug, and the sweet cards did so much to lift our spirits and remind us that we were in your thoughts and prayers. You are a blessing. Marcia Humphreys & Family

We extend our love and sympathy to Charlie & Connie Daugherty on the death of Charlie’s sister, Susan Daugherty. Susan died on Sunday,

September 11, in Goldsboro NC, and a memorial service was held at Highland Park on Friday, September 16.

We also extend our deepest love and sympathy to CJ & Kim Moeller on the death of CJ ’s mother, Martha Moeller. She died on Sunday, September 18, in Velma OK. CJ and his family went to Velma for the funeral

service on Thursday, September 22.

Continue to lift these two dear families in your prayers as they experience this time of loss.

HP Celebrates 60 Years

As our church family continues to celebrate our 60th anniversary, we thought you might enjoy a few Fall Fun Fest snapshots from years past. Do you recognize all these faces?

A birthday celebration is planned for November 20 at this year’s all-church Thanksgiving Dinner. Make sure you have it on your calendar!

On Sunday, August 28, we welcomed CHRIS & ALIESHA AUTREY to our Highland Park family. They have two young daughters in our Children’s Ministry, Gretchen and Reese.

We also welcomed TYLER & ASHLEY THALKEN on the same morning.

We look forward to many years of serving with the Thalkens and Autreys here at Highland Park!

Brown Bag Lunch Event

October 26

We will enjoy a “doubleheader” at our October Brown Bag Lunch event on October 26! We will have guest speakers from the OU Health Clinic who will address issues of self-care and well-being. We will also bag the candy that will be distributed during the Fall Fun Fest. This is always an enjoyable time of service and fun.

Lunch begins at 11:30 in Room 114.

Please mark your calendar and plan to join us!
