Sa House Bill No. 4069 niQuezon Rep.
greso. Mananatili umano angpondo sa Department of PublicWorks and Highways at mamba-
batas lang ang magtatakda ngproyektnog paglalaanan nito.
Pahayag naman ni Casiño: “It’s
just like transferring water from apail with a big hole to anotherpail but with smaller holes. Thenet effect is that these leakagesand opportunities for anomalieswill not be plugged.” GC Jr.

“Anytime, anywhere, I’m will-ing to go face to face with them.Given my situation, I have noth-ing more to protect. So why should I lie? I want to prove thatall I revealed are true,” ani Viz-conde.
“Part of the reason I eventually decided to name the justices is toprompt the leadership to conducta sweeping internal investigation,to ultimately weed out the corruptofficers.
toryo noong isang taon at hindiibebenta o ibabahagi.
Cynthia D. Balana

‘Love talk’ with celebrities
Sad that Valentine “red” canturn into “bloody red” when
hearts bleed. I texted Aiko tocheck on her. She replied: “I’mbetter now. Coping with thehelp of family and friends likeyou. Paano ba ’yan? Pareho natayong single? I’m not ready togrant interviews yet ’cause it’sstill fresh.”
Aiko has survived many lovebattles. Her “battle” scars serveas a badge of honor of a wom-an who has loved well and hasraised her kids the best way she
can. Hopefully, the next timeAiko falls, love will no longerturn into war so her heart willfinally be at peace with theworld.
Aiko and Patrick’s split-upgot me thinking about the “lovetalk” I’ve had with my celebrity friends. Allow me to share someof the words of wisdom I’vegathered on my way to “happy ever after.” May it give yourheart something to smile aboutor yearn for as we kiss the LoveMonth goodbye.
GLORIA DIAZ: “It may notwork for others but it works forme. I think it’s better if couplesdon’t get married and don’t livetogether. Instead, travel a lot to-gether. That way you maintainthe mystery and the excite-ment.”
VICKI BELO: “If I give up onsomeone after all we’ve beenthrough, how sure am I that it
will work out with anybody else? At some point we shouldalso be thankful for heartaches’cause it means we’re alive!”
POPS FERNANDEZ: “They say we can’t have it all at onetime even in our relationships. Ithink we can. It’s just that wedon’t appreciate it enough whenwe still have it.”
PRINCESS PUNZALAN-FIELD: “Just like food, love isbest when you let it simmer.Don’t rush into love. ’Di ba masnutritious and masarap angpinakuluan na matagal nasabaw kaysa instant cup noo-dles?”
RUFFA GUTIERREZ: “Rela-tionships can get tiring when
it’s more of like babysitting.Even empowered women likeme need to be taken care of,too. When we’re young, we re-sent our mom’s advice aboutthe guys we date but as we
grow older we realize thatmoms really know best, afterall.”
A wife and a husband should beeach other’s boss.”
DINGDONG DANTES: “Sarelasyon ang importantemasaya kayo pareho whether
you are together or not. Se-cured kayo dapat pareho sokahit may araw na ’di kayomagkasama, happy pa rin kayoknowing that your partner isjust there.”
DJ MO: “Guys should alwaysstrive to be better than the lastboyfriend their girlfriend had. That’s what I always do.”
MIRIAM QUIAMBAO: “Weneed to find ways to fill thevoid in ourselves not by findinga partner. When you enter a re-lationship dapat buo ka na andyour partner is just there tocomplement you as a whole.”
DINA BONNEVIE: “Your kidscannot embrace you the way apartner does. So the love wehave for our kids and our part-ner can never be equal or thesame.”
JIMMY BONDOC: “What awaste if you spend more timefighting than loving. Kung purodudahan at selosan lang, ’wag
na kayo makipagrelasyon.”
By Dolly Anne Carvajal
SINCE I spent Valentine week in Sin-gapore, I was away from the show biz circus for awhile. So I was
stunned to find out when I returnedhome that my good friend, Aiko Melendez

and her boyfriend Patrick Mene-ses, broke up on V-day.
‘Speech’ vs ‘Network’LOS ANGELESBritish his-torical drama “The King’sSpeech” enters the home
straight as frontrunner totake the Oscars crown thisweek, but “The Social Net-work” is poking all itsfriends for last-minute help.
Colin Firth, who plays astammering George VI, isconsidered all but unbeat-able for the best actor Oscarnext Sunday, when the mul-ti-billion dollar movie in-dustry gathers for the cli-max to Hollywood’s annualawards season.
But the Facebook movie’s
David Fincher could yet benamed best director, andthe movie remains the joint
frontrunner for best picturealong with “King’s Speech,”which topped the nomina-tions haul with nods in 12categories.
The nearly 6,000 mem-bers of the Academy of Mo-tion Picture Arts and Sci-ences finish voting Tuesday, but the results will only beannounced in a showwatched by hundreds of millions live around theworld next Sunday night.AFP
