We need to have days that help us to purposefully re-member significant events. Ask any man who has ever forgot his wedding anniver-sary. If we are not careful
we can get so caught up with football season that we forget the more serious things in life, right? So as we get ready to see September fly by like the rest of this year has been going, we need to throw the breaks on for a moment and remember a few things. When it comes to remembering special events, the Jewish people have been doing it for thou-sands of years. It's amazing how they have held onto their history by purposefully not for-getting; by making sure that every generation remembers Passover. Every Spring Jews all over the world remember and celebrate God's powerful deliverance from their slavery in Egypt. They have many special days that they set aside to help them remember and keep their identity. There is one other day that I would like to draw your attention to. It is called, "Tisha B'Av." This is the day that they purposefully re-member one of the greatest trage-dies that they have ever gone through as a people. They re-member the year 586 BC. It is when the Babylonians swept them away to their seventy years of captivity. But what was even worse than being held in a for-eign land was having the apple of their eye (The Temple) burnt to the ground. Everything changed from that moment on. They would never be the same again! To make sure they
remember, the 9th of AV is set apart to remind them that life is fragile, like broken glass, trag-edy can strike at any moment. Christianity was birthed by the fulfillment of the law in and through Christ Jesus our Lord. He was the only person who ever kept the law completely, which made Him the perfect sacri-fice to be offered once and for all. But before Jesus went to the cross He instituted what is known as the Lord’s Supper. We read about it in the Gospels, as well as 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, " For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remem-brance of Me.’ In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as of-ten as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.’" As often as we do take Communion,
we are remembering what Christ has done for us through His death and resurrection. How can we ever forget! The very purpose of why we have set aside the very special time to take Communion is to be obedient
to what our Lord has told us to do. People do forget. It's hard to believe that people who have been saved by the grace of God through faith in the work of Christ on the cross could ever forget, but it happens. Just think about the peo- (continued on page 2)

-ple who were delivered from Egypt. They quickly forgot what God had done for them. So as we gather around the Lord’s bread and cup September 1, let us examine our hearts. Let us seek forgiveness and cleans- ing by His grace, and let us remember our Lord.
In closing, the month of September holds a lot of meaning for all Americans. But we should never forget what happened eighteen years ago when nineteen mentally ill, demon pos-sessed radical religious psychopaths used planes as weapons of mass destruction to kill thousands of innocent civilians. What a shock it must have been for those who realized that their lives were over as we watched them fall
through the air. May we never forget the brave men and women who gave their lives trying to save the lives of complete strangers. This kind of brav-ery is what makes the difference, and may every American be awaken to the fact and never forget that our freedom isn't free. It has cost the lives of untold thousands through the short history of our beloved country! May God bring conviction and turn our hearts back to Him as a nation, lest we forget Him altogether and He turn us over to a reprobate mind.
Praying for a wakeup call from Heaven.
Pastor David
“Jesus, through the power and presence of your Spirit, I graciously and peacefully submit my mind and my will
to the teaching of the Seven C’s of God’s plan for the ‘aeons.’ I support my intentions through faith evidence to the truth found in Matthew 7:8, “For everyone who asks receives, the one who seeks finds and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
Regarding the scripture, CREATION is the first recorded action in the plan of the ages. FYI: everything God made was full grown, mature, carried it’s own seed and was pronounced “very good!” NTK: A few things were missing from that Edenic world. Sin, suffering, disease and death permeate our world today; are com-mon to our earthly existence, but are wholly ab-sent in original Creation.
Following closely on-the-heels of Creation, is the first man-made, willful choice of disobedi-ence to Creator-God. Sinless Adam, full of the knowledge of all things good, joyously labored in a perfect environment with only ONE prohibi-tion. God said, “don’t eat of the tree of knowl-edge of good and evil (Genesis 3:17).” Adam’s willful choice led to the CORRUPTION of the entire human race because his seed was in him. Proof text Genesis 5:3, “Adam lived 130 years and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image…”
But God knew His plan for redemption. In Genesis 3:15 the good news of a Messiah to crush the serpents head began to be woven throughout scripture. The corruption God im-puted to all of creation had to be judged by Holy God. His method of punishment is found in Genesis 6:5-8:17 where water in catastro-phic fashion (CATASTROPHY) put an end to that generation with one exception, “Noah found Grace in the eyes of the Lord (Genesis 6:8).” Noah got Grace from God, not death. Pure Grace alone through a blood sacrifice, which his progeny soon rejected. Less than 200 years after the flood, Noah's descendants were in direct violation of God’s known com-mand. On this occasion God’s method of cor-rection was CONFUSION. A tongues miracle that forced the popula-tion to divide into language divisions. This state of confusion, which we read in chapter 11 in Genesis, reigns until God has worked His plan for Messiah to be revealed in Jesus of Nazareth. John 1:14, “the word became flesh and dwelt among us…”
Since the curse the Savior was coming. What would our faith be anchored to should we

misunderstand the book of beginnings? “The first Adam became a living being but the last Adam
a life-giving spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45).” CHRIST, the last Adam, has done everything needed to cancel our sin debt. His suffering in complete obedience to the Father, defeats all enemies and makes believers members of His family. The CROSS is where Jesus drank the Cup of Wrath from Almighty God to taste death and defeat death in His resurrection. Jesus was lifted up be-tween heaven and earth where he draws all peo-ple to himself. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Nobody ever gets to the Father unless they
go through Him! Jesus will soon return in the CONSUMMATION of everything.
“What a day that will be; when Jesus I shall see.
When I look upon His face, the one who saved me by His grace.
When He takes me by the hand
and leads me through the promised land.
What a day! Glorious day that will Be!”
In order to rise spiritually, you must be willing to sink yourself!

Ryan’s Writings: Go Therefore and Make Disciples The most important mission that Jesus gave to the church is that of making disciples. If we were to give ourselves a grade, I wonder if we would be getting a passing grade. We seem to do a great job at sharing the Gospel and giving people the opportunity to repent of their sins and trust in Jesus alone for their salvation. We, however, stop at salva-tion and never challenge each other to grow up in our most holy faith. What exactly does it mean to make a disciple? The Biblio-theca Sacra gives a good description of what making a dis-ciple entails. Hiebert writes, “The term “make disciples” places somewhat more stress on the fact that the mind, as well as the heart and the will, must be won for God. A disci-ple is a pupil, a learner.… Mere mental understanding does not as yet make one a disciple. It is a part of the picture, in fact an important part, but only a part. The truth learned must be practiced. It must be appropriated by heart, mind, and will The sole focus of our youth ministry this year will be on that of discipleship. What does it matter if we attract hundreds of
youth but fail to teach them the Bible and train them how to live for Christ in this dark and lost world? The backbone of our youth ministry will be built on the Biblical principles of discipleship. We will be challenging the youth, the youth leaders, and the entire church to have a regular quiet time. The weekly devotions will be printed every week in the Sun-day bulletin and the youth and youth leaders will have daily quiet time books that focus on the same passage. The prayer of my heart as the new school year starts is that the youth and the entire church will commit to being disciples of Jesus by having a daily quiet time. God will use this focus and strategy on discipleship to conform our hearts, minds, and wills to Christ’s. Pastor Ryan “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
