ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH, CHILD CARE INFORMATION
NFB Child Care (also called NFB Camp) takes place in Suwannee 14-17, Level 2, for children 6 weeks to 12 years old. Child Care is open each day except Wednesday, July 4. Child care is also available on Banquet night, Sunday, July 8. Children must be registered to attend. Children’s activities take place in NFB Child Care. This year we present the NFB BELL
Academy—National Federation of the Blind Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning—with lessons in braille, nonvisual skills, and cane travel provided by BELL teachers for interested blind children and their siblings, ages 3-12. Infants and toddlers participate in other engaging activities throughout the week. To take part in an activity, your child must be registered for child care for that day. Register
in advance at nfb.org/nfb-camp-registration-form. To register onsite, go to Child Care rooms & see if any spaces are left. Child Care schedule appears toward end of this agenda. If your child is in Youth Track, be sure to pick up an agenda. Staff will stay 15 minutes after
each session. Pick your teen up at the Youth Track rooms or plan to meet elsewhere. In addition to Youth Track, children and youth might enjoy the Cane Walk, Youth Style
Show, and activities of the National Association of Blind Students (NABS). Schedules appear toward the end of this agenda.
SPECIAL EVENTS & ACTIVITIES ALL WEEK LONG
Certain special NOPBC activities for parents, children, and youth are listed only in this agenda—for ex., our Cane Walks—so keep this agenda throughout the week. Other activities that you & your child might enjoy are listed in the NFB Convention agenda

EXPRESSING OUR APPRECIATION...
The NOPBC would like to offer a special thank you to Amy Porterfield and Alyssa Bracamonte of SAAVI Services for the Blind. SAAVI staff have worked tirelessly over the past year to provide fun and creative activities for our youth at this year’s convention. We appreciate building partnerships with those who believe that you can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
Of course, none of the NOPBC conference would be possible without our awesome conference director, Melissa Riccobono, and the collective power of the NOPBC board! These volunteers have spent hundreds of hours planning this conference, all while still caring for their families and going to their jobs. They truly live their commitment to helping other families, changing what it means to be blind, and enabling our children to live the lives they want!
