subsidiary of Terumo Corp., Mi-crovention broke ground in Juneon its new 205,000 square-footworldwide headquarters at theSummit Ofice Campus in AlisoViejo, the city where the companywas originally founded.
Scheduled for occupancy inJanuary 2017, the new facility willconsolidate all of MicroVention’sOrange County operations intothe 5.13-acre site, accommodatingmore than 800 employees and of-fering an 822-stall parking struc-ture. MicroVention currently em-
ploys about 650 peoplebut plans to hire more.“MicroVention Inc. has

The irm’s worldwide headquarters and main man-ufacturing facility are currently located in Tustin,with additional manufacturing facilities in Franceand San Jose, Costa Rica.
Also within the MicroVention’s Tustin plant is alarge research and development laboratory enablingthe irm to more rapidly iterate its products. Its work-force includes skilled associates in production; qual-ity and regulatory; engineering and research anddevelopment, as well as support positions, such asmarketing; direct sales and distribution; inance andadministration; and supply chain, enabling the irmto market and sell its devices on a worldwide basis.
Its Costa Rica facility, currently employingapproximately 700 associates primarily inproduction, is also now at about maximum capacityfor headcount. The company continues to grow andexpand with its products as well as its workforce, saidMicroVention Corporate Communications DirectorCathy Demyanovich.
