Welcome to the AgResearch and Education Center at Greeneville!

We are pleased to have you with us and hope that you have an enjoyable and informative day. If you have any special needs, please let us know at the registration area and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Today’s field day will cover two areas: tobacco and forage production. Three tours will run concurrently and will be presented twice this evening. Transportation will be provided on Tours A, B, and C. Information presented on each tour will provide you with the most up-to-date research and information on each topic covered. Each speaker on today’s program wants you to leave with some ideas or information to help you in your individual operation.

Tours A and B will cover burley tobacco production. Topics to be covered include new variety development; agronomic practices that will make you money; sucker control options and application techniques; and results of new research on how hormones in the plant affect sucker growth and control.

Tour C will cover forage production. Topics to be covered include utilization of summer annuals in your grazing program and strategies to increase the grazing season.

A variety of educational and informational displays are on-site for your benefit and enjoyment. Please take time to visit with these individuals to gain more knowledge of the products and services they have to offer.
