The Master’s degree in Environmental and Tourism Economics (MTEE) offers the possibility of gaining extensive knowledge of economic aspects of tourism and its socio-environmental impact. This is an innovative approach in the international field of postgraduate education in economics and tourism, and it fills a significant gap in the study of tourism as an economic activity. So, the masters’ main aim is to study in more depth the sub-disciplines of environmental and tourism economics, placing special emphasis on the interrelations between them, and opting for quality and rigour in the development of content. Furthermore there is the opportunity to work in an international context, inherent in tourist activity, which is shown both by the approaches covered in subjects and the overall composition of teachers and students. The official language of the MTEE program is English. All of the classes of the MTEE program are taught in English. Thus, exams, papers and presentations are expected to be presented in English.

Students that enroll in this masters program can pursue professional carrers as researcher, consultant and university lecturer.
