Free Dribbling with Taggers: All the players are in a 20Wx25L yd space. All players except for 2 players have a soccer ball at their feet to dribble. The 2 players (taggers) have a soccer ball in their hands. The taggers will chase the dribbling players and try to hit the dribbler's ball with their ball. The taggers throw their ball or simply touch their ball to a dribbler's ball. The 2 taggers race to see who can hit 5-7 balls the fastest. The dribblers try to avoid having their soccer ball hit by running with the ball, turning or shielding the ball from the taggers and they can be encouraged to try new moves or turns. Variation: If a tagger tags a dribbler's ball the players switch roles.

2v2 Overlap 2v2: Coach sets up a field with a goal in every corner in a 15Wx25L yard space. Two 2v2 games will occur on the field with each 2v2 game being played across the field to opposite diagonal goals. Each team will defend a corner goal and attack the corner goal diagonally across from them. At the same time, the other 2v2 game will play using the other 2 goals diagonally across from each other. Score from either side of the cone goals (if spaces permits). Both games will last for 2 minutes then rotate the opponents

When to Dribble and When to Pass

Pattern Dribble (20 Touches) • Each player with a soccer ball. • All patterns will be completed with both feet. 1. Touch the ball with the outside of the foot then inside of the foot. (Favorite foot first!) 2. Push the ball twice with the laces then draw a circle around the ball with the big toe. 3. Inside left to inside right then roll the ball from the left to the right (with the bottom of the foot or Toe Roll) 4. Inside right to inside left then roll the ball form the right to the left (with the bottom of the foot or Toe Roll) 5. Drag the ball with the bottom of the right foot, touch it behind the left foot with the inside of the right and then (Forward with the left foot) stop it with the left 6. Now repeat starting with left foot.

Dribble, Pass & Receive: 10 yards from outside to central cone, • Groups of 3. Each player attacks the mannequin in the middle, connects a pass to the far side, and follows the pass to the far side • Upon receiving a pass, the player again takes on the mannequin in the middle • Dribble straight at the mannequin. Have a move in mind prior to starting your dribble • The Moves are the Inside Step Take, Circle Take or Fake Circle Take.

2v1 or 2v2 to 4 Goals: In a 15Wx20L yard grid with 2 goals on each end line (at least 2 fields will be needed) • Coach plays the ball into one team. 2 players from that side attack against 1 or 2 from the other side. • Before playing the ball in, the coaches determines if it will be 2v2 or 2v1. • Players will play for 2-3 balls depending on the numbers of participants, or one goal. • If a player can perform a move before scoring, 10 bonus points.4v4 or 5v5: In a 20WX25L yard field (coach may need to adjust field sizes based on gym size and number of participants), play the game. Equipment and Organization: •1 ball; stopwatch in a 5 x 5 yard grid Instructions: •Players may start from their hands •Player juggles the ball with the instep only, •If the ball touches the ground, or is played with another surface, the player may pick up the ball and start juggling and re-counting again. •2 Tests (combined for one score) are: •Right Foot / Left Foot – 60 seconds each

•The player has 60 seconds to achieve her maximum consecutive juggles on each test. •Each juggle counts as one point. •Use of another body part stops the count. •The player’s maximum consecutive number of instep juggles is recorded (for each of the tests) and is then combined to create one overall instep score
