Training Manual and Lab Activities

How to develop an Individualized Physical Activity Plan (IPAP): ~ Guidelines for developing each part of an IPAP - The first part: Participant’s general information . You need to have these included in this part ‘ Participant’s name, age, gender, semester, year ‘ Participant’s type of disability and behavior ‘ Target skills: 3 sport and or workout activities . Participant’s information sheet will be distributed . An example is presented on the next slide and can be find in on Page 12 of the lab manual . > How to develop IPAP: ~ Guidelines for developing each part of an IPAP - Task analyses of the skills: . Each target skill is divided into =< 15 steps, including Self-initiated steps, movement sequence steps, and Performance steps . Can be done before the 1st lab session; They are used as the assessment criteria . Training Manual and Lab Activities

How to develop IPAP ~ Guidelines for developing each part of an IPAP - Present level of performance: the assessment results . This is the most important part of an IPAP developed . Observe your participant’s performance during the first lab session and record the following data ‘ What steps your participant performs correctly ‘ What steps your participant performs incorrectly . Transfer assessment data into measurable written statements, including three parts in each statement ‘ action: what type of motor skill used in assessing ‘ condition: What environment and what materials ‘ criterion: At what level of performance observed

15

Training Manual and Lab Activities

How to develop IPAP ~ Guidelines for developing each part of an IPAP - Present level of performance: The key part of an IPAP

. This part should be done after the first lab session
