Travel Information from

the Incheon Airport to Daejeon

Upon arrival, please pass through screening (usually just a cursory glance, now

with instant infrared heat scanning for passengers running a fever), then

immigration, then proceed to the baggage claim where you can us free carts.

After the baggage claim, please proceed through customs (you don’t have to

“declare” any goods since all your luggage consists of personal use items) and

you will pass through one-way doors into the main arrival lobby.

For foreign currency exchange, there is a place near exit 11 to use an ATM or a

booth to exchange for Korean Won. The ATM will dispense the Korean Won by

the credit card cash advance, debit withdrawal, or AAA cash card transaction.

We recommend you to have some local currency for bus travel. Please

proceed to exit 10 and go outside. You should cross the first four lanes of traffic

to the island for regional provincial bus departures.

There you will find the bus ticketing counter. There are

two types of bus: 1) “express bus” with 4 seats across

2) “excellent bus” with 3 seats across. The “excellent

bus” (우등버스) is recommended for greater comfort.

Your ticket has an assigned seat. Please make sure to

check the departure time and price.

Inside the terminal at exit 10 you will see

an information desk, phone & internet,

bathrooms and a convenience store.

Please note that the bus

will make only one 5-15

minute rest stop.

If you need to make a call, you may use a coin-

operated phone, a prepaid magnetic card operated

phone, a phone that accepts credit cards and a

coin-operated internet terminal. There is a coin

changer nearby for your convenience.

You may find it interesting to browse the free travel information at the Korean

National Tourism Organization counter near exit 13. You can ask for national,

provincial and city maps as well as general travel and food guides.

At least 10 minutes before the bus departure time, please make your way back to

the ticket area. The bus for Daejeon will arrive at stop 9D.

Please load your luggage into the bay designated “정부대전청사(Daejeon

Government Complex)” and board the bus to your assigned seat. Please ask the

driver for any assistance with luggage or seating. You should get off the bus at the

second stop. You will arrive at the Daejeon Government Complex (DGC) bus stop.

It takes about fifteen minutes on foot, or ten by taxi from the Daejeon Bus

Station (DGC station) to the hotel Toyoko-Inn.

the Toyoko inn to Daejeon Convention Center (DCC).
