the IBM IaaS platform (SoftLayer) is already certified for the following items :
- SoftLayer has a PCI DSS v3.0 ROC
- SoftLayer’s information security policies and security management approach is aligned with US Government standards and
based on the NIST 800-53 framework
- SoftLayer is suited to host financial services, including FFIEC, workloads through its bare metal and single-tenant private
cloud offerings
- SoftLayer supports clients and their HIPAA workloads through its policies and procedures
- SoftLayer complies with data privacy standards worldwide (Safe Harbour) ; SoftLayer will NOT move your data without your
consent and approval
- SoftLayer has a comprehensive SOC2 Type II report for all of its data centers, evaluating controls and their effectiveness ;
SoftLayer added SOC3 audits and reports to its 2014 audit cycle
- SoftLayer is part of the Cloud Security Alliance and has completed the STAR self-assessment
- SoftLayer has a ISO 27001 certificate of compliance
- SoftLayer has completed audit for FISMA compliance for two commercial data centers
