Welcome to another year of great concerts! We will welcome Seraph Brass, an all-female brass ensemble, and the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants for the first time to our Series. 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, and we will celebrate with a multimedia presentation of art and song through the ages led by choir and orchestra. Join us for each and every thrilling event. Details are provided in this brochure. Historically, Trinity has been a place of renewal through the performing arts. We strive to continue this legacy through this annual Concert Series. In order to provide quality performances - and in most cases not charging admission - we rely on the support of our generous Concert Series Patrons. Please join us in this outreach to our community and region! H. TIMOTHY KOCH
Ministry Director for Music
REV. DR. JACK M. HORNERLead Pastor
This is a special year of music and celebration at Trinity, Camp Hill as we commemorate with Lutheran churches around the world the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther said, “Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.” Music continues to be an important part of our reforming movement within the church. Please join me in celebrating the richness of our musical tradition through supporting the 2017-2018 Concert Series.
Let us pray: Lord, inspire musicians to gladden the hearts of people by filling the air with God’s gift of music and reminding them of the Divine Musician who created all beauty. May the gifts of our voices and melodies of our instruments move with the work of your Holy Spirit. May we bring light into darkness, and restore hope and joy to the discouraged. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
All concerts are free unless specifically noted otherwise, and are designed to edify and enrich all listeners, bringing a greater awareness of God’s love through His gift of music. Concerts are not funded by the general budget of the church, but by the generosity of our Concert Series Patrons, whose names appear in every program. Free-will offerings also help defray expenses.
Most concerts are held in the main sanctuary. Adult supervised child care is sometimes available - please call prior to the event.
The Church is handicapped accessible with wheelchair facilities. Audio and Videotaping equipment is prohibited.
If you would like a postcard reminder of upcoming concerts (non-Trinity members only), please fill out the information below and return it to us. To become a patron of the 2017/2018 concert season, please send a check made payable to Trinity Lutheran Church, with Concert Series Patron noted on the memo line. All contributors will be noted alphabetically in the programs. Contributions are tax deductible. Friends: $25 - $49 Angels: $100 - $249 Cherubs: $50 - $99 Archangels: $250 or more

Hearty singing has been a hallmark of the Lutheran Church for centuries. We have a rich tradition of the visuals arts, as well. In a Lutheran understanding, both of these artistic forms can be rightly used to communicate the Word of God, and therefore, when joined together, will become a rich way of commemorating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Music and visual arts are lively and ever-evolving. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, we will integrate music and art from many times, places, and peoples to fully observe this anniversary.
