1. APPLY FOR ADMISSIONComplete our online application at www.trnty.edu/admissions. Application fee is $30

2. SEND TRANSCRIPTSRequest official transcripts from all colleges attended be sent directly to Trinity. Send to: Office of Undergraduate Admissions 3. VISIT CAMPUSVisit campus to meet with a transfer admissions counselor. Please call to schedule an appointment.

4. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCEIf you would like to be considered for need-based financial assistance, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can file the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.gov; Trinity’s school code is 001771 5. TUITION DEPOSITTo reserve your place in the incoming class and to be able to register, you will need to pay a $250 enrollment fee.

6. ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT/REGISTRATIONAfter you are formally accepted to the college, we will schedule an appointment with a faculty advisor who can answer questions about your intended major, as well as assist you with planning your curriculum for the fall or spring semester at Trinity.

Application Checklist

To be considered for admission a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and satisfactory academic progress are needed.

If a student has fewer than 24 semester hours or transfer credit, we require final high school transcripts and ACT scores. An associate’s degree is not required to apply for admission into the college. Trinity will accept a maximum of 65 credit hours from an accredited two-year college or unlimited credits from a four-year college or university. While we work on a rolling admissions basis, the following are the recommended application deadlines: Fall Term (August) - July 1; Spring Term (January) - December 1

Begin your visit on a Thursday night, and join in an evening of student activities and a trip to downtown Chicago. On Friday, you will get to know some current students and professors, tour campus, and chat with a member of the admissions staff.

Legacy Days at TrinitySchool holidays like Columbus Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and Presidents Day provide perfect times to visit Trinity. You and your parents can explore campus as you consider the legacy you will build in the future.

S CHOLARSHIPS

LOANS Federal Subsidized Stafford No interest accrues while student is in school or in grace period.

Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Interest accrues at fixed 4.66 percent from disbursement date.

Parent PLUS Credit-based loan given to parents for their child’s education. Alternative Loans Credit-based loan given to students for their education.

GRANTS Pell Grant Pell Grants are made available by the U.S. government. The maximum award for 2014-15 is $5,730. About 33 percent of Trinity students are receiving Pell Grants in amounts that vary from $602 to $5,730 SEOG GrantSEOG Grants are awarded by Trinity to needy students. Amounts vary from $500 to $2000.

TEACH Grant The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who intend to teach in a high-need field at a public or private elementary or secondary

school that serves students from low-income families.

Illinois MAP GrantIllinois MAP Grants are awarded by the state to Illinois students. Amounts vary from $472 to $4,720 and are prorated based on credit-hour enrollment.

Trinity GrantTrinity Grants are awarded to students based on financial need.

Housing Grant A grant for transfer students who will live on campus housing. Awards up to $2,500

Next Step Scholarships

Trinity offers renewable scholarship packages up to $10,000 for incoming transfer students selected to be Next Step Scholars. To be considered, students must meet all criteria. For detailed information, visit www.trnty.edu/financialaid

One factor that contributes to the employment success of our graduates is that 100% of our students receive an internship or field experience before they graduate from Trinity.
