• Some nations of this region have not treated their forests carefully. Desertification is a problem.

• At the present time, some countries must still import wood while new trees grow.

Asia are perfect for developing water power.

• The fishing industry is also a big business for East Asia using the Pacific Ocean.

• East Asians also practice aquaculture catching shrimp and oysters in shallow areas and freshwater fish in lakes and rivers.
