Throughout the history of modern art, no other movement was as bold as Futurism. Born out of boredom in the heart of Italy, Futurism artists thrived on speed, noise, and the machine age.

The name “Futurism” was coined by the Italian poet Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in 1909. He thought about other names including Dynamism, and Electricity before selecting Futurism.
