Corpus Christi Church in Bismarck and the local Spanish community invite everyone to celebrate the Feast of our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church. After Mass, authentic Mexican food will be served in the cafeteria. The menu includes: pozole, tamales, rice, beans, buñuelos and champurrado. The Corpus Christi youth group will have activities for the kids. There is no cost for the meal. Contact the parish office at 255-4600 to RSVP. For the first time ever, a Nativity scene will shine next to the State Christmas tree in the North Dakota State Capitol Memorial Hall. The public is invited to a blessing and lighting of the Nativity scene in an ecumenical celebration at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5. It is sponsored by North Dakota Catholic Daughters. Advent retreat in Watford City Dec. 7-8 Epiphany Parish in Watford City welcomes nationally-known speaker Judy Hehr for an Advent retreat on Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8. Hehr, who works as a spiritual speaker, life coach and radio host, will deliver the message that’s it’s never too late to be who God calls you to be. It’s said that Judy cannot be described, she must be experienced. The power behind her emotional life journey and the style in which she shares her message cannot be defined. Judy’s story will expand your self- awareness, enrich your attitude, rekindle your love for Christ, and encourage your own personal relationship with God. Pastoral Associate - Corpus Christi in Bismarck The Church of Corpus Christi in Bismarck is seeking a full-time parish Pastoral Associate. Responsibilities for this position include coordinating the parish wedding ministry and baptism preparation programs. This position will also work closely with our pastoral ministry team to visit hospitalized parishioners, assist with outreach ministry, plan for liturgical seasons and celebrations including church decorating and assist with communal penance service coordination. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in Catholic doctrine and beliefs. They must have excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills. They must have a demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Parish Soft (or comparable administrative system software). This is a non-exempt position that reports to the parish manager. The selected applicant must successfully pass a criminal background check. Corpus Christi Church in Bismarck and the local Spanish community invite everyone to celebrate the Feast of our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church. After Mass, authentic Mexican food will be served in the cafeteria. The menu includes: pozole, tamales, rice, beans, buñuelos and champurrado.
