TUESDAY NEWSDAY is a weekly bulletin board

for community activities of interest to LISD families.

In the interest of sustaining a healthy planet and

using technology to reduce workloads, LISD

no longer sends home printed handouts with students.

We do it this way. It just makes sense.

E-mail flyers to: [email protected] | PDF only!

June 12: Tween Time @ 4 p.m.

Ages 10 to 14 only

Learn how makeup artists transform an actor into a character with

Rhonda Gorman, Assistant Professor of Design at Texas Woman’s

University, and see a live demonstration. Registration is not required.

June 26: Teen Movie Night @ 6 p.m.

Ages 13 to 18 only

Join us to watch the movie Inception. Dom Cobb is the best there is at

extraction ; stealing valuable secrets inside the subconscious during the

mind's vulnerable dream state. His skill has made him a coveted player

in industrial espionage, but also has made him a fugitive and cost him

dearly. Now he may get a second chance if he can do the impossible;

inception, planting an idea rather than stealing one. If they succeed,

Cobb and his team could pull off the perfect crime.

No registration required. We’ll provide the popcorn!

July 31: SFX Makeup Demo

for Teens @ 7 p.m.

Ages 13 to 18 only

Join us in going beneath the surface of special effects

makeup with artists from Screams Halloween Theme

Park in Waxahatchie. Learn how artists create the

transformation from actor to character, and see a live

demonstration. Registration is not required.
