Please remember to use School Dismissal Manager (SDM) for absences AND we are ADDING

tardies to be reported thru SDM as well. We no longer use the info line for those messages. We

will NOT be checking for messages on the info line.

We also ask that you please not leave absence or tardy messages on the nurse’s phone exten-

sion. Please use SDM as this tool is available to our office staff for viewing.

FOR ABSENCES: Please select absent, and in the description note, provide the reason

your child is home from school, such as stomach ache, fever, cough, etc.

FOR TARDIES: In the description please note TARDY and what time you estimate he /she

will be arriving to school. Once your child is at school, please go back to your child’s SDM profile

and update the exception for the afternoon, whether bus, extended day or other option.

As a follow-up to the broadcast sent by our

Central Office on Wednesday, September 26.

Our delayed openings will be either 2 hours or

3 hours in duration. There will no longer be a

90 minute delay.

Please be sure to have plans in place in the

event of a delayed opening with caregivers or

neighbors that might need to know this new procedure.

When you get the chance, please take a peek at our nearly-finished sensory garden!

Thanks to the help of many people, we planted nearly 200 plants in three hours!

The dedication will take place at the start of the Memorial Softball game on Friday, October 12,

at 4:15p. (Raindate Friday, October 19). This project would not have been possible without the

generous support of teachers, families, RES friends, and community members.

CONTINUED REMINDERS:

Please remember not to enter or park in the bus circle during “bus hours:” Mornings between 7:45a—8:15a (possibly longer on days with inclement weather) and afternoons between: 2:30p—3:10p.

School Dismissal Manager (SDM) is the web- based program we will use for ALL dismissal exceptions. Please be sure you use that site to indicate what your child is doing on days he/she is NOT doing his/her “normal” default. Please do so by 9:30a each day.

SDM is also how absences and tardies are rec-orded. Please confirm absences and tardies by 8:30a each day.

NOTE: If your child is going to another child’s home—getting off at a different stop—please use ALTERNATE BUS—even if it is your child’s USUAL bus. We might not catch it in our reports otherwise.

You may specify which of the five schools within ER9 you wish to work and have the flexibility of choosing the days you want to work.
