TERM 3 Week 1
GOOD COUNSEL
PRIMARY SCHOOL
16TH JULY, 2019
Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back to the start of Term 3 at
Good Counsel Primary School. I hope you
all had a restful break but by the sounds of
the stories of camping and Show visits
most parents are happy to have children
back at school. It was wonderful to see so
many student entries in the cooking, cane,
cattle, handicrafts and art work at the
show. A special thankyou to Mrs Sugars
and Mrs Erbacher who set up our GCPS
Show Display which comprised of many
and varied creative pieces of artwork. Our
playgroup stall was also bright and
colourful with many photos of our
Playgroup children thanks to Mrs
McElhinney.
School work was back into full swing
yesterday with the majority of our students
in attendance. We have 4 new students
beginning this week - Casey Moloney 6H,
Brayden Horsford 1S, Amelia Weber 4DP
and Samuel Weber 2AL. We wish them all
a smiling Good Counsel Primary School
welcome and hope their educational
journey with us is a fruitful one.
Survey - All parents, staff and students
(Year 5 & 6) will have received an email
survey from Mycorp this week. The survey
is now open and will run until Monday
August 5. The survey is being conducted
as part of Good Counsel Primary’s ongoing
commitment to continuous improvement.
Your feedback will help to ensure that
GCPS responds to key issues, strengthens
its reputation as an educator of choice and
meets or exceeds parental and student
expectations. Please take the 10 - 15
minutes to complete the survey.
This week Mrs Croatto returns after her 5
week recovery from surgery. Thanks to Mr
Schramm and Mrs Borsatto as well as their
band of willing helpers over the last 5

This Friday we will be celebrating
Grandparents Day at Good Counsel

important. They are the ones in a family
who hold the wisdom; who can answer the
difficult questions or just drop everything to
help out in many and various ways. This
Friday is a chance for students to invite
their grandparents or someone who stands
in as their grandparent to come and visit
their classrooms and see what they are
learning in 2019.
