Metro Fan
The metro fan is an unidirectionalor reversible fan (dependingon the blade profile). Fresh aircan be supplied to the Metrosystem for cooling or air regeneration and polluted airor smoke can be extracted.
The fan consists of the fan casing (3 casing ducts), theimpeller with a rotating nosefairing and the built-in motor.The fan can be installedhorizontally or vertically. Various accessories like inletnozzle, diffuser, shock absorbers,dampers etc. are available.
Tunnel Fan
The tunnel axial fan is a uni-directional fan with a hydraulicblade adjustment system duringoperation or fixed blades adjustable during standstill.The fan can be used for freshair respectively exhaust airand smoke gas. The fan consistsof the fan casing, the impellerwith a nose fairing and thebuilt-in motor. The fan can beinstalled horizontally or vertically.Various accessories like inletnozzle, diffuser, shock absorbers, dampers etc. are available.
Smoke is the big danger for people in an underground tunnel.In the case of fire our Metro and Tunnel fans provide smokefreeemergency exit routes.
Fan series tested according to EN 12101-3 give tunnel operators the security they desire. Specially selected materials,highly heat-resistant motors and design precision from TLT-TurboGmbH associate „your“ security with high economic efficiency.Excellent aerodynamic features guarantee low power consumption and installation cost.
They also help to keep the acoustic noise low.These fans may be used in tunnel sections asjet fans with free inlet and outlet as well as inpremises as axial fans in ducted installations.
Overpressure installations protect emergencyexits against incoming smoke.
The successful story of these fans started at thebeginning of the 1970’s in the Alpes. Many important Alptransit-routes have beenequipped with TLT Tunnel Fans since.
We have over 100 years of experience in ventilation technologyand have been developing, manufacturing and constructing axial flow and centrifugal fans and systems for more than 40years. The experience has naturally been incorporated into andfurther developed in the design, manufacturing and installationof complete integrated ventilation systems for road, metro andrail tunnels.

Jet Fan
The jet fan or impulse fan consists of one impeller (usuallyreversible by change of motordirection), the electrical motor,the casing, two tubular silencerswith inlet nozzles and the sup-port to fix the fan to the ceiling.The fan is designed for pushing an air column insidea large void (e.g. tunnel) byimpulse exchange. Thereforethe jet fan has a free inlet andoutlet with no duct connections.
Overpressure Fan
The overpressure fan is a unidirectional fan and can beused for escape tunnels. The fan consists of the fan casing, the impeller and thebuilt-in motor. The fan can be equippedwith an anti-stall device. Various accessories like inletnozzle, diffuser, shock absorbers,dampers etc. are available.
