Our students and parents are already familiar with our internationally recognized TOEIC and Cam-bridge ESOL tests which serve as a checkpoint for our improvement in English. As Marmara Schools, we take one step further by organizing these tests in a larger scale to include all students in Siriwat, Chindamanee and Wichai schools. On September 1, all Marmara students from G2-G12 will have their tests corresponding to their pro�ciency level: YLE, KET, PET, TOEIC.

Marmara Siriwat is a place of science and innova-tion, and it is proved once again with our tradition-al mouse trap competition. On August 20, G10-12 students were in a great race to develop their own designs of mouse trap cars. This was also a chance for them to practice what they study as part of their science curriculum focusing on motion. Their mouse trap cars were scored according to their design, acceleration and total range. The �nalists of this event attend the national mouse trap car competition as well. Keep up the good work!

Marmara Siriwat EP is organising two English events in this week. The �rst one is Spelling Bee on September 9, for grades 7-9, to test their vocabulary skills. The second event is Jeopardy on September 10, for grades 10-12, to test their general English knowledge. We hope our students can get a taste of these popular game shows at Siriwat. Good luck

JEOPARDY &SPELLING BEE

Since our understanding of education requires the cooperation of three core elements, namely teachers, students and parents, we give extra importance to our relations with parents. Thus, we started a new activity with parents called ‘Make and Eat’ in which class teachers and parents come together to cook and eat together in the morning. This is not an academic meeting, so they have chance to know each others better and improve their relationship cooperation. Bon appetit!

As a re�ection of our focus on moral enrichment as a school, we emphasize extra-curricular activities on global ethics every year. In this scope, annual No Smoking Day was organized at Siriwat at the beginning of the �rst term again with di�erent competitions and informative programs and winner classes were awarded for their boards

As two Asian cultures with many similarities, Thai and Turkish cultures gives great importance to mothers and their rights. We believe mothers are like angels who are by our sides, always helping, caring and thinking about us. Based on this values, as usual, we organized a Moth-er’s Day event called ‘My Angel’ on August 8 at Siriwat. Besides stage shows, songs and touching plays (drama)for the beloved mothers, the winners of essay and poem competitions in Thai and English were given awards within Mother’s Day activities. After the main event, mothers, children and teachers went to classes for mini games and activities. The day ended with a special lunch for mothers. We wish all mothers a happy life forever, not only one day.

Once again Siriwat students met at our annual Water Rocket Competition which was held n the �rst week of July. First, science teachers gave information about the aim of the project and how to design water rockets. Then on the day of the competition, primary and secondary level students had the chance to test their designs. Some failed, some passed, only one succeed-ed to hit the target. However, it was a bene�cial experi-ence to see their theoretical science education in practice. See you in next year's event.

Students were tested at the �eld. They had learned about forest adventure and known how to live. These activities would motivate them to help themselves and others. Also, the activities would educate them to live together. with harmony.

Dec 21, 2013, The Primary department of Siriwat Wittaya Bilingual School wowed parents and visitors alike with their presentation during the preliminary program and succeeding with their scienti�c experi-ments and explanation. FATHER’S DAY

Our scheduled venue, the auditorium was carefully planned to manage the event with a range of activities both fun �lled and bonding exercises for teachers, parents and students alike.

The main events included a traditional Thai dance fantastically choreo-graphed and presented by selected prathom students, a rose in each father’s hands portrayed the color of love and a�ection each one had for their children while being carefully ushered to their seats by our teachers.

The highlight of the day was the drama presented by mathayom students who portrayed a story about the importance of a father to every child , an activity that brought more than a few acting talents to the surface. This was followed by a chorale by prathom students; they sang Thai, English, Chinese and Turkish songs.

The show stopper was a graceful Thai dance that paid tribute to the Father of Thailand Our Dear King, and the love and appreciation displayed could be easily felt by all who watched the performance.

After the seriousness came the time for fun wherein in the schoolyard various booths were set up with di�erent activities for fun and leisure. This was proven when the fathers teamed up with the students and teachers in the most exciting games like of tug-of-war, followed by table tennis. After the fun activities which got everyone sooo hungry, a booth of free chick-en kebab and a bu�et of Thai food was specially prepared for the guests’ marking an end to a fun �lled of love and a�ection and strengthening the bond between parents and children.

A day that strengthened the bond between fathers and their children of Siriwat Wittaya Bilingual School. A day that was a tribute to the sel�ess love and sacri�ces of a Father. We were privileged and honored to have in our midst the proud parents of our students who are tomorrow’s future.

Siriwat had annual sports day event with great joy at school. Four teams had competitions in various sports and games as well as cheerleader dances. Siriwat sta� had prepared some activities and food for parents and our alumni students as well. Students had fun and improved their athletic skills in a competitive but friendly atmosphere. Such events are signi�cant for us because they remind everyone that Siriwat is a big family now.

At the end of 2015/1 Term, our P6-M3 students went to English Values Camp with foreign and Thai teachers to Saraburi. We stayed there for three days. Students had a chance to relax after the �nal exams. We also had various activities about sports and English. The main values we discussed were love, respect, helping and sharing. It was a nice experience for all of us both having fun and learning from each others.

VALUES CAMP 2015

Smart Science Fair Science is a systematic way to build and organize knowledge from testable and prediction about universe and nature. In order to comprehend science there must be experiments and demonstration about those subjects. Smart Science Fair is an annual activity in our school about understanding and apply-ing the science. In this activity, students found oppor-tunity to test and gain practical knowledge about abstract topics in science. Not only physics, chemistry or biology demonstrations, but also mathematical games and shows have been demonstrated. Students found variety of fun science activities such as ferro_liq-uid, super magnet engine, Archimedes screw, chemical chameleon, bacteria in water, indicators in kitchens and secret messaging.

KINGS AWARDAs Marmara Siriwat school, we always emphasize the importance of a balanced generation with both high morals and academic competence. American Professors at Siriwat

On August 17, Siriwat had a group of American visitors again: A Hawaii state senator and two Alaska state senators with some other guests were with us thanks to the organi-zation of Paci�ca Institute in the USA and Marmara Schools. Students had the chance to ask questions about America as well as Hawaii and Alaska. We even had the chance to see an example of Tahitian dance by a professional Tahitian dancer. Siriwat sta� and secondary students had a lot of insight about daily life, state and education system in Alaska, Hawaii and US in general. Thanks again for this great oppor-tunity. We are always honored with international guests, and eager to show Thai and Turkish hospitality.

"Be a global citizen" is our motto, re�ecting not an imagi-nary ideal but the real situation and opportunities in Siriwat. As another example of this global identity, over a dozen of professors from American universities paid a visit to Siriwat on 8/8/15. Since we had the Mother's Day event on the same day, they had a chance to attend our program and enjoy the great performance our students which were mainly drama shows and songs in English. Later on, our honorable guests had the chance to walk around the school building and visit classes as well as watching the fun activi-ties we had prepared for our parents. Thanks for your visit, it is always a great pleasure for us to see you here, in the land of smiles.

American State Senators at Siriwat

Senior judge Dr.Dol Bunnag paid a visit to Siriwat to give a seminar about using internet and social media safely for teenagers. All Siriwat students between ages 10-18 attend-ed the seminar. We would like to express our gratitude to him for sparing his time and visiting our students for such a practical seminar on such important issues.

As an important element in the educational �eld of Sai Mai and Bangkok, Siriwat had been visited by many important �gures so far. The governor of Sai Mai also visited our school and had a meeting with our administrative board. We gave a brie�ng about our school system and English education. Our directors and the governor discussed important issues about education and planned further steps of cooperation in the future to improve the educa-tion and English level of schools in Sai Mai. It was an honor for us to have such signi�cant guests at Siriwat and we are always open for cooperation for Thailand.

GOVERNOR OF SAIMAI VISITS SIRIWAT

We played football with our graduates. 2011 alumni, 2013 alumni and current M6 students joined to activity. It was an opportunity for the students to come together with their classmates and other friends from Siriwat. We will try to play football with our alumni every two weeks. On 22th February, 2014 SWBS held graduation ceremony, 2013-2014 Academic year`s M.6 students got their diplomas from our Guest of Honor, Air Marshal Wattana Maneenai Who is The Superinterdent of The Royal. He gave a speech about the event and expressed his good wishes, too. There were also Turkish dance performance and singing performance in Thai, English and Turk-ish. There was a slide show about the success of. M.6 students. Mr.Yusuf Can Bektus and Mrs.Siri-porn Saenrat, our President and Director, gave a farewell speech to our new graduates.

We are very happy to announce another event that provides an oppor-tunity to all Siriwat graduates meet once again to remember those old golden days of your school life with your beloved friends. To make strong bond with our alumni, we invite you to attend "Siriwat Alumni Pilaw Day". The event started at 12:00 p.m. at Siriwat canteen area.

Pilaw means cooked rice. There will be Khao mok gai and Khao mok nuea and also soup for lunch as well as fruits and icecream. We organized Fun Games and Lucky Draw with gifts.

This is the �rst time that we organised Pilaw Day for Siriwat Alumni, hope it will be a tradition for us and we'll orga-nize it every year.

In May 2013, two G.10 students of Siriwat participated in International Science Project Competition in Indonesia and got the fourth place award.

A girl in G.10 attended the 8th Air Force Open International Fencing Championship in May 2013 and got the 8th place award. At the end of January 2013, she participated in Southeast Asian Fencing Federation J&C Championship in Brunei and got the 3rd place award.

In June 2013, two girls from G.12 went to Turkey to represent Thailand in the International Turkish Language Olympiadand they got silver and bronze medals.

In 2013, three girls from G.11 went to Turkey for International Dreamline Design Olympiad and got bronze medal.

In May 2013, four boys from G.12 got bronze medal in ICT competition called E-biko and fourth place award in the environmental Olympiad called Inepo in Turkey.

In May 2013, a boy from G.8 participated in the 16th The Mall Swimming Competition.

In June and August 2013, two students from G.8 and G.10 participated inSoutheast Asian and Bangkok Swimming Championships, they both got bronze medals.

In June 2013, a girl from G.11 participated in Genius Olympiad in the USA and got the gold medal.

A G.7 student got the 1st place in Sai Mai in all subjects of ONET exam, a G.8 student was number 1 in all Thailand in all subjects and English, and a G.9 student was the winner in all Thailand according to her score in Thai subject and total score in all subjects.

A girl from G.11 participated in a series of swimming competitions in June and August 2014 in Bangkok and

Singapore, and she got Bronze, Silver and Gold medals.

In June 2014, a girl from G.12 got silver medal in the 9th Air force Open International Fencing championship in Bangkok.

In January 2015, Kanyasiree and Patu from G.12 were awarded with the Prime Minister’s Award.

A boy from G.12 attended the Genius Olympiad in the USA in 2014.

In May 2014, two girls from G.12 participated in International Dreamline Design Olympiad and got bronze medal.

In June 2014, a boy from G.9 got the gold medal in Bangkok Taekwondo 2014 Tournament.

In May 2014, three boys from G.12 went to the USA to represent Thailand in I-Sweeep environmental Olympiad and they got silver medal.

It was a great honor for us to get the most prestigious award for students in Thailand, the Kings Award, which was given to Kanjarat Fangmongkol in G.12 in 2014.
