This solution builds profiles of each cardholder’s spending habits and uses the information to determine normal and abnormal spending behavior. Yellow Hammer™ EFT Fraud Detective™ – In-house EFT Fraud Detection and Prevention Solution Offered exclusively for Jack Henry Banking’s jhaPassPort.pro clients, Yellow Hammer EFT Fraud Detective leverages industry leading fraud expertise and proprietary technology to automatically monitor ATM, point-of-sale (POS), and merchant transactions.

This innovative system determines average pre-authorization account activity and automatically monitors each account to identify suspicious activities based on violations of established rules and transaction, card, and terminal abnormalities. Transaction abnormalities are based on abnormal geographic location, number of EFT transactions, and merchants. Card verification abnormalities are based on card expiration, number, and activation. ATM/POS terminal abnormalities are based abnormal location or user. Four integrated modules identify specific opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve operational efficiency and controls across multiple business units and functions. These modules and their optional components are seamlessly integrated to create a complete back-office infrastructure but are designed for flexible implementation based on the unique needs of diverse ATM deployers.

ATM Manager Pro consists of four modules that can be implemented individually or as a comprehensive management solution:

■ Asset and Site Management Module, the core component of the ATM Manager Pro product suite, consolidates and manages asset, terminal location, and transaction information. The asset information maintained includes each automatic teller machine’s serial number, manufacturer, model, and location history. The terminal location information tracked includes terminal identification, ownership, vendor affiliations, groupings, cash forecasting and replenishment settings, and settlement information. This module’s virtually unlimited transaction information includes summaries of each terminal’s daily transactions that are automatically imported from the respective switch or third-party processor. Sophisticated transaction analysis can be performed based on more than 55 transaction buckets including deposits, withdrawals, inquiries, statements, and denials; and advanced transactions such as bill pay, check cashing, pre-paids, EBT, and foreign activity.

■ Financial Management Module automatically generates detailed and customizable financial statements by terminal location. Income and expense equations, and multiple and tiered contract terms are maintained by location group and site. Monthly fees, cash liability costs, cash loan/transportation costs, and more than 55 daily-level transaction buckets can be used to calculate accurate month-end results. These calculations can support the most granular level – a single ATM location analyzed by month – that enables the results to be reported by group and desired time frame in order to analyze each site’s ongoing performance beyond the frequency of a withdrawal versus a deposit. This module is instrumental in ongoing budget development, new site ROI analysis, and monthly reporting to off-premise merchants for site lease payments and revenue sharing agreements. The Financial Management module can also be used to verify third-party vendor invoices, and analyze depreciation and other “soft” accounting elements. Each ATM deployer can customize its view of an ATM’s financial contributions and costs.

■ Cash Management Module monitors, forecasts, orders, and settles cash throughout the entire cash cycle. Each location can be defined with unique parameters including denominations, alternative media, maximum cassette loads, order lead times, and replenishment schedules. The transactions maintained in the Asset and Site Management module monitor each terminal’s cash level, forecast an anticipated cash-out date, and recommended dates and amounts to deposit in the terminal. An average-based algorithm generates cash order recommendations with user-defined and site-specific “pad” days that ensure automatic teller machines are adequately supplied with cash. Users can populate the system in advance with unique events and/or days that are expected to require increases or decreases in cash, and automatically adjust order amounts to accommodate these events. Following the creation of cash orders, the system’s cash accounts are automatically debited, and the module awaits confirmation and settlement of cash loads. The armored carrier information can be imported to confirm cash deliveries, perform over and short analysis, and make automatic adjustments.

■ Event Management Module enables users to open, assign, and track location-specific events including service, move-add-change tickets, upgrades, installations, and other user-defined events. Linked events and multiple step events can be supported. Each event contains notes and time stamps to track the history of the ticket. Reports by event and event type can be generated, and a supply inventory and order utility can be used to manage the flow of supplies to deposit at each location. New terminal deployments, upgrades, and service calls are often managed separately with limited reporting to the automatic teller machine channel management team. This module changes that by seamlessly linking the history of every location-specific open event. This module is also extremely beneficial for multipart events such as installations since it allows users to define the event-specific steps, schedule each step, assign the required tickets to specific individuals, and track the completion of individual tasks and the entire event.
