“The Winner has been an outstanding personal tutor. They have been incredibly
useful and supportive on a series of occasions. In the first place, they have
always been actively looking to help the students even outside office hours with personal projects or by reviewing their CVs. The winner also often drops by the
Games Design laboratories after finishing work to help students with the
programming for their prototypes.“
“The winner has provided students with exceptional support and guidance
throughout. Whenever students have needed some of their time to discuss work
or even any non-academic issues they have been there to offer this and provide
students with tremendous encouragement and suggestions that enable them to get
the best out of what they are doing.“
“As a PhD supervisor this winner has always been available whenever their
students needed them and they make time to meet in person, or if the student is at
home they will happily Skype (video call). Whenever students send work to them to review, it comes back almost immediately, and on more than one occasion a student has submitted a piece of work on Friday
and it has been returned, with comments and corrections, only a day or two later
and during their free time. “

“This winner makes every lecture engaging and it's very evident they put a lot of effort into making it so. It's obvious
they care about student's learning and understanding and not purely their own
research. People enjoy going to their lectures because it's a really interactive learning experience, not just sitting and
listening to someone. “
“During the lecture sessions, this winner always takes an interactive approach to teaching and engages their students by asking questions creating an interactive dialogue. They also provide outstanding
support for students who may need additional clarification or help on a
particular taught topic. This helps students maximise their time and attain success at
university. “
“The highlighting element of this winner is that their teaching method is suitable for different student’s learning styles, They
uses various types of methods to engage with students, to motivate them in topics or discussions. They also provide in depth information about a topic that students
are discussing in lecture or seminar, which is beneficial to many students, as they are
then able to engage with materials and research about it. “

“The winner’s coordination of the Asperger’s Group has helped students to make the most out of their
time at university and this has also helped throughout our university careers. I’d like to
commend them for their input to keeping the group going.”
