I Recap: Sam told Todd he

had to break up with Chloe.

He promised to do so, butshortly afterward, she

caught them making out. He

explained he couldnt dump

Chloe because she was upset

over a sick aunt. Sam wasreminded that she once

advised Andrea to invent a

dying relative to avoid abreakup, so she suspected

Chloe was pulling a scam

but a visit to the hospital

confirmed she wasnt. Todd

dumped Chloe, who soughtout Sam for comfort. Later,

she caught Sam and Toddtogether, and Sam confessed

she was seeing Todd, butthen said it wouldnt work

because they had too much

baggage. Todd showed up at

Sams birthday party withballoons and introduced

himself a fresh start.

Wilhelmina the new editor-in-chief of the

magazine that employs Betty, professional

challenges face ourheroine, too.

go after its revived its title

character from a coma, pos-sibly changing his entire

life? That question hangs

over this fanciful drama,

which ended its freshmanyear by subjecting Eli to an

operation involving his

brain aneurysm. It also left

the question of whether hisvisions will continue

along with the musical numbers that often accompanied them.
