Tyrolean Alps (Guided Motorcycle & Photography Tour)

Introduction - We have travelled far and wide over the years but have always struggled to capture our trips in great detail. We have used video and notes in the past but on reflection nothing captures the scene quite as good as a top quality photograph. Never have the sayings ‘quality over quantity’ and ‘a picture paints a thousand words’ been more apt. We really only discovered the value of quality photography ourselves when we had some professional photographers partake in some of our guided tours.
The idea of this tour is to combine some of Central Europe’s best motorcycling with prime opportunities to hone your photography skills and capture the moment with that ‘one in a million’ shot. For this tour we have teamed up with professional photographer and experienced motorcycle tour guide Paddy Maddock. Paddy has brilliantly captured a number of our tours in recent years including Greece and Morocco - he knows a thing or two when it comes to both bikes and photography! Having carried out a reconnaissance trip we have identified the best possible locations for both morning and evening photo shoots in some truly spectacular locations. With a morning photo shoot followed by a days leisurely biking followed by an evening photo shoot – it’s a perfect balance!
As we are using the 4 Star Hotel Enzian as our base for the tour there are many advantages including:
All luggage can be left at the hotel during the day leaving your motorcycle lighter and more fun to ride
Optional participation on different days
Ideal location for partners with plenty of other activities and attractions incl. spa, hiking, cycling, outdoor pools, rafting, canyoning etc.
Optional airport shuttle to/from Memmingen for partners not wishing to travel by motorcycle.
Optional rental of BMW test bikes (subject to availability and pre booking)

Frequenty asked questions:
What equipment do I need? Simply a motorcycle and a middle of the range/decent quality camera. Monopods/tripods optional but are recommended.
What experience do I need? Aside from being a competant motorcyclist photography experience is not required as the tour is designed to cater for the novice to the professional.
