UGVCL family celebrates 70th

Independence Day

On 15-Aug-2016, UGVCL’s Hon. Chairman Shri Varun Nath Maira, IAS (Retd.) hoisted the national flag

at the Company’s Sabarmati Campus, as part of 70th

Independence Day Celebrations.

On this auspicious occasion, Smt. Maira, Company Secretary Shri N. M. Joshi FCS, Superintending

Engineer (Sabarmati Circle) Shri S. P. Vaidya and other senior officials, employees and their family

members saluted the National Flag at Sabarmati Campus.

During his ceremonial speech, Shri Maira emphasized on maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and

thereby enhancing the health of the employees and their family members. Shri Maira awarded

certificates to the employees, followed by distribution of gifts to the children by Smt. Maira.

At the Company’s Mehsana Campus, I/c. Chief Engineer (Operation) Shri B. P. Buch hoisted the

national flag.

Additional General Manager (HR) Shri A. C. Prajapati, Superintending Engineer (Tech) Shri N. C.

Makwana, Superintending Engineer (Civil) Shri K. C. Tailor, Superintending Engineer (DSM & Safety

Cell) Shri P. B. Pandya, Superintending Engineer (Mehsana Circle) Shri S. A. Patel, other senior

officials, employees, retired employees and children saluted the national flag at Mehsana Campus.

Shri Buch read out the message of Hon. Managing Director in his absence and further emphasized on

safety measures to be observed by field staff, so as to avoid any kind of uneven incidents.

Eminent sportsperson of the Company as well as meritorious children of employees were honoured

with Certificates of Appreciation for their remarkable achievements.

In order to create awareness about environment, a plantation drive was conducted at the Campuses.

Senior officers, employees and their family members, who had gathered during the national event,

felt a strong patriotic wave during the event.

The national event was later celebrated by a small get together with refreshments at Mehsana and

Sabarmati.
