United Kingdom Clinical Scholars Research Training (UKCSRT) Programme – Paediatric Track UKCSRT-Paediatrics
UKCSRT-Paediatrics
ABOUT UKCSRT-Paediatrics
UKCSRT-Paediatrics is a collaboration between the Harvard Medical School Office of Global Education, University College London (UCL) and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). This unique and innovative program draws on the expertise of all three partner institutions, combining excellence in delivery of medical education with world-class expertise in child health.
UKCSRT-Paediatrics is an optional concentration for those enrolled in the UKCSRT program who have a specific interest in paediatric research. The UKCSRT-Paediatrics track will provide additional workshop sessions and paediatric-focused coursework to develop core skills related to paediatric clinical research. Our goal is to ensure that future generations of child health researchers and practitioners are furnished with the knowledge and competencies to produce and interpret high quality clinical research.

UKCSRT-Paediatrics WORKSHOPS AND TIMELINE
Scholars who enroll in UKCSRT-Paediatrics will join participants in the UKCSRT programme which provides an intensive introduction to patient oriented research. The programme’s approach uses an innovative pedagogic model of blended learning, combining live workshop teaching with recorded online lecture material and interactive webinars. The two residential 2-day workshops that anchor UKCSRT will include an additional day centered on paediatrics for UKCSRT-Paediatrics scholars. The Capstone Project provides the opportunity for participants to develop a paediatric-focused research project or proposal. UKCSRT-Paediatrics scholars will also be able to choose a paediatric-focused elective course in the last part of the programme.
