Forthesixthyear,GhirardelliChocolateCompanyisexcitedtoinvitetalentedundergraduatesenteringtheirjuniororsenioryeartoapplyforachallenging,hands-onexperienceintheConsumerPackagedGoodsIndustry.Thispaid,seven-weeksummerworkexperiencerunsJune17–August1,2019.
In2012,GhirardelliannouncedagenerousfinancialpartnershipwiththeSanLeandroEducaKonFoundaKon’sSLED100campaign,alongwithacommitmenttolaunchasummerworkexperienceprogramforSanLeandroHighSchoolalumnicurrentlyaNendingafour-yearcollege.In2014,theprogramwaspilotedwithfiveSLHSalumnianditwasagreatsuccessandin2015includedsixSLHSalumni.Ghirardelliisonceagainofferingtheprogramin2019andSLEDisreachingouttoformerSanLeandroScholarshipFoundaKonrecipientstoinformthemofthisuniqueopportunity.TofindoutmoreaboutSLED’saccomplishmentsandhowtogetinvolved,visitwww.sledfund.org.
ThesummerworkexperiencewillcombinemeaningfulonthejobworkexperiencealongwithotheracKviKessuchasinterviewskillstraining,chocolateschool,andmore.Ghirardelliishiringatotalof7individualsthisyear,5atourcorporatelocaKoninSanLeandrosupporKngourHumanResources,OperaKons,MarkeKng,ProfessionalProductsandSalesdepartments,and2supporKngourretailstoresoutinthefieldinSalesMerchandisinginSanFrancisco(pleasenote-forSalesMerchandisingyouarerequiredtorideBarttoandfromSanFrancisco(wewillprovideClipperCards)Thisisapaidworkexperienceat$18/hour,MondaythroughThursdayfor29hoursperweek.
