At higher zoom levels, the icons are grouped into multiple outage icons. At higher zoom
levels, information for individual outages is available. The OUC service area boundary
is show by a blue outline. If a crew is on-site, the crew badge will be displayed.
Remember the actual equipment or infrastructure repair location may be in a nearby area.
Summary Outage Information
The top of the tool panel shows summary information about power outages as well as
the time information on the map was last updated. If you use a smartphone to access
the map, this section also include links for reporting an outage or contacting the OUC.

In this example, the overall OUC system reliability is
99.99% with 12 active outages that affect a total of 109
customers.
The Total Customers Served number indicates the total
number of OUC customers with electric service (updated
daily).
The map panel also indicated the frequency and time of
last update from our Outage Management System.
Mobile Devices
On a mobile device, OUC offers a ‘Text Out’ feature that
allows registered customers to quickly report an outage.
By selecting the Text Out button, your mobile device will
automatically enable your device text function and pre-
populate the OUC short code. The command OUT will
be added in the message field.
After selecting Send, our system confirm your type of
issue with a return message and log the outage in our
system.
Map Tools
Using the dropdown menu, you can view outage data by location, service territory or area
district. The OUC service territory consists of two areas (Orlando and St. Cloud) and four
quadrants or district for each area.
To change the map view, click or tap the “Map Tools” section of the tool panel and select
the option you want from the dropdown list. View by Location displays icons for individual
outage locations or for groups of outage locations. The map groups nearby outages
together into “clusters” to reduce cluttering at higher zoom levels. View by Area displays
color-coded shading for the number of outages in each area.
