This document describes how to configure the unified dashboard center program on your solution manager.
1. IMPORT AND ACTIVATE THE DASHBOARD PROGRAM

Activate the node/sap/dashboard
Activate three otherSICF nodes:
/sap/ac
/sap/fmcall
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zdc
and
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zdv
Now the dashboardprogram is fullyactivated. You canproceed to initiatedashboard settingsand createdashboards

2. INITIAL DASHBOARD SETTINGS
After importing the dashboard program you will need to enter initial settings before create dashboards

Use Chrome or latestIE browser to openURL

Logon with yoursolman user andpassword
Navigate to ‘DataProvider’ tab
Click the ‘AddProvider’ button andenter new dataprovider info
Class:ZDP_SYSMON
ZDP_BPA
ZDP_BPO_ALERT_TABLE
ZDP_EEM
Enabled: true
Click ‘Save Providers’to save the settings
Now you have initated dashboard settigns, you can proceed to prepare data providers/populateselect options

3. CREATE A DASHBOARD
In this step you can create or customize a dashboard base on your monitoring/reporting requirement.

Open the dashboardURL at
http://<solman_host>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zdc/dashboard.html
Click the ‘+’ button tocreate dashboard
Enter dashboard infoincluding:
Folder: Folder toinclude thisdashboard
Title: title of thedashboard forexample ‘AppOpsDashboard’
Columns/Rows: howmany columns/rowsto show in thisdashboard
Hit the ‘Applychanges’ button tocreate the dashboard

Click the ‘ConfigureGadget’ button toconfigure a gadgetwithin the dashboard
Enter the gadget infoincluding:
Title: title of thegadget
Data Provider: wherethe monitoring datacomes from
Renderer: how wouldyou like thedashboard to berenderer
SID/Metric: choosethe option to querydata provider
Hit the ‘Add query’ toadd exiting queryoption
Hit the ‘Applychanges’ button to
Note: you can add multiple queries in the same gadget for example you can correlate ‘Concurrentlogon users’ and ‘CPU Utilization’ in the same gadget

After applying thechanges you can seefirst gadgets arecreated with themetric you’veselected
Repeat previoussteps to configureother gadgets
Note that you candrag ‘Existinggadgets (gadgetsfrom otherdashboards) ’ fromleft panel into yourdashboard

Click the ‘Save’button to save currentdashboard
Now you havecreated a new customdashboard on yourown.
You can click the‘Today’ button tochange time rangeand resolution.
Click the ‘Share’button the send thedashboard line viaemail
Click the arrow buttonbesides ‘Refresh’ todefine auto refreshinterval.
Or ‘Edit’ to changedashboardgadgets/metrics
Now you’ve created a new dashboard.

3.1. Adding BPA Gadgets
Besides adding system monitoring gadgets, you can also add Business Process Analytics Panels to the unifieddashboard.

Click the ‘+’ button tocreate dashboard oredit existingdashboard
Change Data providerto ‘ZDP_BPA’ andchoose the Panels toadd (note: the Panelname should matchTechnical Name fromBPO dashboardsetup)
Afterwards youshould see thegadgets in unifieddashboard withexactly the same datafrom BPA panels
Note: UnifiedDashboard timerange will NOT applyto BPA panels, it willuse the configuredtime range per BPApanel setup.

4. AUTHORIZATION CONTROL
You may want to restrict access to dashboard, eg, allow only a few users to edit the dashboards etc.
In the dashboard program there are three groups of users for different responsibilities: ADMIN: setup providers, mass maintenance of dashboards, change configurations, assign user groups EDITOR: edit dashboards VIEWER: view dashboard
In addition an ADMIN can set a dashboard to READONLY to prevent further changes from EDITOR.
To assign users or set read only flag:

Navigate to Admin ->Config tab and enter theABAP user IDs separatedby comma (,) withoutspace
(Note: you will need toAdd config to add theentries if they don't exist)
Empty value makeseveryone has the role (forexample everyone canview dashboard)
After saving config thenew authorization will beeffective immediately.
To lock a dashboard:Navigate to managedashboard and select theReadonly flag
After that the dashboardwill be shown as Readonlyfor editors.

5. ANONYMOUS ACCESS
You may want to provide anonymous access URL to the dashboard. For example to distribute the dashboard tolarge group of end-users and allow them review the dashboards on iphone/ipads.

First step is to create anuser for anonymousaccess.
For example we cancreate user‘DASHBOARD’ withfollowing roles
SAP_SMWORK_TECH_MONZSAP_NOTIF_ADMINZSAP_SM_EEM_LEVEl01ZSAP_SYSTEM_REPOSITORY_DIS
Change user type tocommunication Data user.
Enter password for theuser.
Save settings

Second step is to maintainan ‘anonymous’ SICFservice for accessing thedashboard
Execute transaction SICFand navigate to followingservice
/sap/ac
Double click on theservice name.
Open ‘Logon Data’ taband enter the dashboarduser client, ID andpassword.
Save the node.
Make sure the /sap/acnode is activated.

Maintain the dashboarduser for path
/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zdc
as well. Save settings
Now you can viewdashboard with followingURL without logon:
http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zdc/dashboard.html?service=ac
Note: to disable anonymous access you can simply lock the dashboard user, or deactivate the/sap/ac SICF node.
