UNIFORM GUIDE – KINDERGARTEN

The school uniform is an important part of the culture of HillSide Christian College. Parents and students are reminded to uphold the rules concerning uniform in order to keep the standards of dress at the College to a high level. All uniform items must be in good condition, fit appropriately and be worn in the manner for which they were designed. No alternative styles or non-uniform items may form part of a student’s apparel. Terms 1 & 4

SUMMER UNIFORM • College Hat – Wide Brim (slouch). • Plain short sleeved gold polo shirt from Best and Less. • Plain royal blue shorts or skorts (girls only) from Best

and Less. • Plain white socks. • Sneakers – Predominantly white or black with velcro.

Also, plain sandals with velcro, must have ankle support. No dress or light up sneakers.

• Gum boots for nature playground.

General Appearance – Boys & Girls HAIR • Natural hair tones only. No whole colours or unusual

dyes e.g. no jet black hair dye, abnormal colours, or fluorescent colours. Any style or colour the Principal deems unsatisfactory.

• Girls’ hair tied back in plait or ponytail only, if hair at a length beyond collar. • Simple navy hair accessories only. • Boys’ hair to be short, well-groomed, not beyond

collar length. Hair out of eyes. • No undercut, gelling or teasing styles allowed.

WINTER UNIFORM

• College Hat - Wide Brim. • Plain short sleeved gold shirt from Best and Less. • Plain royal blue track pants from Best and Less. • Plain royal blue jacket from Best and Less. • Plain white socks. • Sneakers – Predominantly white or black with velcro. • No dress or light up sneakers. • Gum boots for nature playground.

JEWELLERY, ACCESSORIES & MAKE-UP • No large or noticeable piercings. • Necklace/Chain with small cross permissible. • No rings, necklaces or other fashion items permissible. • Girls - earrings to be single plain (no colours or stones)

• No make-up or nail polish. • No embellishment of the uniform with any accessory,

or external name labelling.

COLLEGE UNIFORM ORDERS The Kindergarten uniform is to be purchased from Best and Less. No alternative styles or non-uniform items may form part of a student’s apparel. College Hat - Wide-Brim

A predominately white or black sneaker with velcro. Grey or other colours are unacceptable.
