Basic drawing methods with an emphasis on laying out the composition.

Introducing the basic elements of composition.

Drawing of geometric string and wood models of still life, and focusing on the important elements of drawing.

Individual research of shapes, texture, and representation of various material qualities by use of various drawing materials.

of the muscle mass and skeleton (osteology, arthrology, myology) in classical

painting.

Course programme contents:

Introduction of construction, proportions and motorics of the human body.

Figurative drawing focused on human anatomy, with an accent on the

elements that characterize the human figure.

Materials used in traditional mural paintings; history of mural painting; the

Byzantine technique; learning the basic skills of painting; preparation of a

foundation (making a portable base, making a frame, preparation and

application of plaster); selection of pigments and production of colours;

completion of a drawing; transfer of a drawing; painting on a wet surface;

making drawings and copies.

Course programme contents: Geology: research subject, methods, categories and

development; Earth in the cosmos; solar system; form, structure and proportions on

Earth, physical and chemical characteristics; endodynamics, geodynamical processes,

magmatism; introduction to petrography; areas of rock formation; magmatic processes;

magmatic rocks: acidic, intermediary, basic and ultra basic rocks; sediment rocks and

sediment areas; classification of sediment rocks; metamorphic rocks and processes;

characteristics and classification of metamorphic rocks; exodynamics; mechanical decay

of rocks, chemical decay of rocks, erosion and denudation; influence of wind, rivers,

seas and glaciers; karts erosion; seismism; tectonics; layers and elements of layer

falling; tangential disturbances; radial disturbances. Atmosphere. Hydrosphere.

20. INFORMATION ABOUT THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS FOR ENROLLMENT IN

THE FIRST YEAR OF THE STUDY PROGRAM

Bearing in mind all the technical, spatial and staff potentials of University “Goce

Delčev” at the given moment, an optimal number of students on the Classical

painting study programme would be 20 regular, and 10 with co financing in the first

year of studies.

However, depending on the future needs of the labor market, the University

enrollment policy, the recommendations of the Government of the Republic of

Macedonia, increasing of human resources of the faculty this number can be

variable.

The conditions for enrolment and the number of students are published in the

Open call for enrolment on the first cycle studies on the University “Goce Delčev” –

Štip.

21. INFORMATION ABOUT AVAILABLE COMPULSORY AND ADDITIONAL LITERATURE

The required and additional literature needed for the Classical painting study programme will be available to the students in the University library of University “Goce Delčev”. The latest editions of the needed literature will be available through the portals of the e-library and e-learning on the website of the University. Additionally, the University has provided access to the most significant Universities that provide education in the field of educational sciences.

23. PROFESSIONAL TITLE THE STUDENT RECIEVES AFTER FINISHING THE STUDY PROGRAM

The candidate who successfully completes the first cycle studies and graduates on

the Classical painting study programme willl acquire the academic title B.A. in visual

arts in classical painting.

24. ACTIVITIIES AND MECHANISM FOR DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING THE QUALITY OF THE TEACHING PROCESS

Within the realization of its integrative functions, University “Goce Delčev” is

obligated to continually care for providing and control of quality of the educational

process. The university has opened an office for quality and self-evaluation that is in

charge of planning and analysing the procedures of evaluation of the complete

system of education and scientific and research work in the University, to examine

the evaluation and self evaluation reports, as well as to propose and take measures

for improvement of the quality of the educational process. The Quality Assurance

center will define strategies and policies for monitoring, securing, promotion and

development of the study programme quality, the education and work conditions on

all University units.

Instruments for monitoring the quality of education and the scientific and research work on specific courses and modules will be:

student polls, Lecturer / Instructor polls, self evaluation of Lecturer / Instructor s, analysis of learning and exam results, web portal ( e-learning, tools), improvement measures etc.

Also, as a precaution for quality, the following questions are to be answered:

regularity in execution of lectures and practical activities moderation in work engagement ( credit balance according to ECTS) coherency of the study programmes modern and clearly defined course contents active participation of the students in class objective examination of the learning progress and exam realization availability of information to students transparency in the working process etc.

The results of the self evaluation are given additionally, in the form of a report for the

period from 2007 to 2010.
