We consist of a team of students that design, build, test and race an off road vehicle that will survive the severe punishment of rough terrain. To do this we must operate in a competitive, fast-moving environment and we provide team-oriented hands on experience to all of our team members. Although the team is made up of mostly engineers, we represent 7 different majors and 2 of the 4 colleges here at Davis.

Funding is one of the most important factors to our success year to year, without your support our team would not be able to function. With the help of companies like yours, we are able to keep improving our vehicle and continue to compete and educate at a high level.

What is Baja SAE?Each team’s goal is to design and build a prototype of an all weather, rugged, single-seat, off-road recreational vehicle intended for sale to the non professional weekend off-road enthusiast. SAE holds three competitions each year in the United States that draws approximately 100 teams worldwide. These vehicles are put to the test at these events through a series of static and dynamic events, all of which culminates in a four-hour endurance race

that is designed to break all cars. Baja SAE also gives students the first-hand challenge of pursuing their passion while managing real-life demands and priorities.

We apply concepts from the classroom to a real world problem and see the results, gaining invaluable experience that make us better engineers and stronger team members.

We at UC Davis have been providing hands on experience for our ever growing club. We have grown our presence on campus and wish to continue to do so in the coming years.
