Tip #1 Children's room Feng Shui locationNowadays, our living standard are getting higher and higher. Hence, it is common that our

children will have their own room. Their room will normally be a bedroom and also a studyroom.If you are planning for your children's room, do you know which location should their roombe to have good Feng Shui?

CureChildren's room is preferably to be at the East side of the house. This will help them to beable to wake up early in the morning and is suitable to their vibrant personality. Children'sroom should avoid West side of the house.This is because the room will be warm in the afternoon, which may affect theirconcentration on their studies, feel exhausted easily and cultivate their laziness. If there areno other options and the children's room have to be at the West side of the house, the roomis preferably to paint a lively color, install air-conditioner and/or sun visor to reduce theheat from coming into the room. It is also not advisable to study in this room.Children's room should not have any windows which is located at the North. During thewinter season, they may fall sick easily due to the chilling wind, especially for thosechildren that are not strong.

Tip #2 Children's room Feng Shui colorChildren's room wall color paint will affect their behavior, hence, selecting the rightcolor for your children is very important. The wall color paint must it go according to

your children's Bazi?

CureBasically, it is good to have the wall color paint to be according to the children's Bazi. Inaddition, we also have to consider other factors. If your children are very energetic, avoidusing lively color. Preferably to use color that are lighter and gentle.If your children are more gentle and quiet, avoid using deep color. Preferably to usecolor that are more lively.In general, children's room wall color should not be too bright. This will affect their mentaldevelopment, they may become proud and difficult to be discipline.

Tip #3 Children's bed Feng Shui locationKnowing the children's room location and their wall color paint is not good enough. Thelocation of the children's bed also plays an important role in Feng Shui. Do you know whereis the good Feng Shui location for your children's bed?

CureChildren's bed location preferably base on their own Bazi to select. If it is not possible, thenwe have to select a good Feng Shui location. Of course, if their bed location is able toincorporate both, it will be the best.When selecting their bed location, the bed should not be in line with the room door,otherwise you may need to place a divider in between the room door and the bed. Failing todo so may result children will not be able to sleep deeply and will have a lot of dream.The head board of the bed should not lean against any window, otherwise, they will catch acold easily during raining season.The window must always be shut during their sleep, causing the room to be stuffy. The bedshould not be below any beam. In Feng Shui, beam is a 'sha', which will createunnecessary pressure on your children when they are sleeping.There should not have any fan or air-conditioner blowing directly onto their bed. This maycause respiratory sickness easily.

Tip #4 House main entrance is facing directly to my neighbour'sWe can always see that some houses' main entrance are facing each other. Some peoplewill place a Bagua on top of their own main entrance, to prevent 'sha' coming from theopposite side. The opposite neighbour will be very unhappy, create a fuss over this andresult poor relationship between the two families.

So what should we do if we are really in this situation?

CureThere are a few cures here. Outside our house, we may place a semi circular red carpet infront of our own main entrance. The other option is to place two pots of green plants,having one at each side of our main entrance.As for the option inside our house, we may place a divider just after the main entrance.Hence, when you return home, after you have entered your main entrance, the first thingyou see would be your divider. No matter which option you choose or all, remember tokeep clean and tidy outside your own main entrance!

Tip #5 House main entrance with red clothSome people like to hang a red cloth on top of their main entrance during happy events likewedding, new birth, house shifting, etc. After the event, they forgot or do not wish toremove the red cloth, thinking that it may bring good fortune continuously. Does it reallybring us good fortune continuously?

CureIf your main entrance is facing west or north west, which belongs to 'metal' in the fiveelements. Red color cloth symbolizes 'fire' in the 5 elements. According to the Cycle ofDestruction, fire destroy metal!In this context, it will create an adverse effects, causing the family not peaceful and manyother unhappiness will occur. This also applies to those houses, who hang red lanterns infront of their main entrance. Remove the red cloths and lanterns immediately once thehappy event is over.

Tip #6 Wind chimes attract spiritThere are Feng Shui Masters who like to use wind chimes, claiming that the ringing soundproduced from the wind chime is able to attract wealth for the household. Can wind chimesattract wealth?

CureIn Taoism and Buddhism, the ringing tone is to use for attracting spirit. Hence, it is not

advisable to use wind chime, especially wind chimes made of metal and are located at thewest, northeast and northwest. In short, wind chimes is to attract spirit, not wealth. To besafe, do not use wind chimes!

Tip #7 Main entrance facing 'sha'Some houses' main entrance are facing directly to the lamp post, big trees, bridge or road,there will be 'sha' coming into the house, affecting the family members, especially theowner. If you are having this problem, do you know whether is there any cure?

CureYou may erect a semi circular steps, or place a red semi circular red carpet, as mentioned intip #4 above. You may also construct a mini roof top or sun shades outside the main

entrance. Take note that the mini roof top must be in semi circular shape as well.The other option is to slant the main entrance at an angle. The angle must be correct and itis advisable to engage a qualified Feng Shui Master to specify the angle of tilt!

Tip #8 Stove must be clean and tidyBelow the stove, there may be water pipes pass through, there may be holes below. Wemay also place our rubbish bin, knives, axes, etc. below the stove. Do you know that this isinappropriate?

CureBelow the stove if there are holes, the wife may involve in gynaecological sickness. Otherfamily members may have digestion problem. Use a red color brick or porcelain materialto cover all the holes below the stove.

It is also advisable to keep clean and no sharp items like knives, etc. Above the stove, thereshould not have any beam or pipe running across, and no hanging of clothes. If there arepipes running across, we should build a kitchen cabinet and hide these piping inside.Opposite side of the stove, should not have any sharp ends pointing at it. If there is a toiletopposite, and the toilet door is facing the stove, it is advisable to shift the stove location

Tip #9 Stove must lean against a wallSome people like to have their stove just below a window, claiming that it will have betterventilation during cooking. Is this right or wrong?

CureIn Feng Shui, stove is to be lean against a solid wall with no window. If there is a window,there will be loss of wealth, husband and wife in conflict and family not in harmony. Youmay install a lampblack machine for ventilation.This applies to stove that are at the centre of the kitchen without leaning against a wall.

Tip #10 One household one stoveSome landed properties like bungalows, they worried during cooking, oil fumes will dirtytheir house. Hence, they like to build one more stove which is outside the house forcooking. Can we have two stoves in our house?

CureIn Feng Shui, stove represent wife. Hence, one stove is equivalent to one wife and twostoves is equivalent to two wives. If there are two stoves in a house, the husband will haveextra marital affairs!If you are worried about the oil fumes during cooking, you may install a wall with door.During cooking you may close the door, if not you may always leave the door open.
