Week in review This week we completed our studies about two important presidents, as well as the symbols that represent the United States. We learned all about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. After reading lots of books we were able to compare and contrast them to find similarities and differences. We also learned that the American flag represents our country and that the Liberty Bell, bald eagle, and Statue of Liberty all stand for freedom. In Math, we worked on recognizing coins, knowing their values and counting a collection of coins. During Language Arts we finished writing our stories about a sleepover as an introduction and practice for the 1 st grade writing screener.
