Bunting is good

Bunting is my chosen ‘good.’ The triangular shaped flags strung together were originally used by the Royal Navy and are now used as decoration for houses, shops, parties and celebrations.

Range of good

While researching Bunting, I came across a lot of products with bunting applied to them. I am most interested in creating a ‘Make your own bunting Kit’ and possibly a ‘How to crochet your own bunting Kit.’ The kits could be promoted in womens magazines. I am also interested in creating:- Stationery- Information Booklet-

Formats

The above format I have included as it is a bit out of the ordinary and it shows that it is possible to create something that’s perhaps not A - format. These formats I have consid-ered for the 16 page context booklet.

The fold out format on the right is interesting and is more inter-active. The belly band gives the publication a more finished look.

Processes

The delicate laser cut patterns on the left are very effective, I would like to apply this to my designs in some way as it is the sort of thing my target audience would admire. Crochet is also coming back in fashion and people are beginning to apply it in a new and creative way and I think this would be really interesting to experiment with. The stab stitch binding is also an interesting way of binding small information packs as it is suitable for short booklets.
