Overview
MUFG Union Bank, N.A. adds convenience and speed to your treasury management processes with Wire and Internal Transfer Services. We have streamlined and simplified our wire services so that you can initiate transfers—domestic or international, USD or FX—in just minutes.

Self-Service Administration for Wire and Internal Transfers Access
Contracting Officers or Web Administrations may enroll, edit, or delete user entitlements to Wire and Internal Transfers through the Administration Console in the Financial Center. Wire and Internal Transfers may be entitled to all users or selected users; including full or selected access to individual accounts.

Setting up Alerts for Wire Activity
Contracting Officers or Web Administrations may enroll, edit, or delete user entitlements to Alerts through the Administration Console in the Financial Center. Alerts may be entitled to all users or selected users; including full or selected access to individual accounts.

Sign on to the Financial Center from www.sso.unionbank.com.
Enter your User ID.
Click Next.
Enter Password.
Click Submit.

Navigating Through Wire and Internal Transfers
The Wire and Internal Transfers home screen will display access to the wires entitlements in which you are enrolled in.
OPTIONS FUNCTIONALITY
Create Transfer Create an individual or a batch of up to 25 wires at a time.
Available wire types consist of:
• Domestic Wire• International Wire• Intra-Bank (Book)• Intra-Company• International Request for Transfer
Import Transfer File Import multiple transfer files in a single upload

Create Transfer
Create a single or a batch of domestic and/or international wire transfers quickly and easily.
• Create a Single Transfer: Create and submit one wire at a time
• Create a Batch of Transfers: Create up to 25 wire transfers and submit the entire batch at once
Note: A batch can contain both free-form and template-based transfers of any type—including U.S. dollar and foreign currency international wires. Available wire types:
• Domestic Wire

Domestic Wire
Create a Single Free-form Transfer
Note: For assistance with the field definitions please see the Comprehensive Field Definitions located in the Appendix.

Click Create Transfer.
Click Create a Single Transfer. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) require an entry.
Note: If creating a transfer from a template, please see the section titled Create a single transfer from a template.
Select the Type of transfer:
• Domestic Wire
• International Wire
• Intra-Bank (Book)
• Intra-Company
• International Request for Transfer
Select the Debit Account.
Enter the Amount.
Select the Send Date. Wires may be future dated up to 30 business days in advance.
Enter the Beneficiary Bank information:
• ABA Number (a Search function is available for ABA and Bank Name assistance)
• Bank Name
• City, State, and Country
Enter the Beneficiary information:
• Account Number
• Name
• Address
• City and State
• Country
Important information regarding the Beneficiary:
• Beneficiary Name and Address fields are limited to 33 characters and City/State field to 30 characters. One additional line of 33 characters can be added by clicking the (+) sign next to either of the field.
• The country information is a separate field. Please use the search option to ensure correct Country is selected.
• When prioritizing beneficiary information, Beneficiary Name and City are required. The address is for informational purposes only.
• Beneficiary names should not be abbreviated except when indicating standard business entity type (e.g., Co, Ltd., and Inc.).
• Use standard abbreviations for States (e.g., CA for California).
• If a line break is necessary when entering the information, ensure the line break does not separate a word. Separated words may result in delays or cancellation of the wire request.
Enter the Beneficiary Reference (16-character limit).
Enter Payment Details (140-character limit). Valid characters include all alphanumeric characters and + – ( ) . : ‘ { } blank.
If an Intermediary Bank is required to route the Wire appropriately, click the + icon to expand the section.

Enter the Intermediary Bank information:
• ABA Number (a Search function is available for ABA and Bank Name assistance)
• Bank Name
• City, State, and Country
It is highly recommended you thoroughly review all data for accuracy and validate the beneficiary information before submitting the transfer.
Select Submit Transfer. The transfer will be added to the Pending Items for approval.
Select Review Transfer.
Selecting Review Transfer will display the Review Transfer screen; validate the information for accuracy before selecting Submit Transfer.

If the transfer requires updates, select Edit and make the necessary updates.
Select Print to print the transfer information.
Once the wire instructions and the beneficiary have been confirmed, click Submit Transfer. The transfer will be added to the Pending Items for approval.
The Transfer Creation Confirmed screen will display with the transfer status and the options to:
• Create Another Transfer
• Create Template from this Transfer

Select Create Template from this Transfer. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) require an entry.

The Save As Template screen will display.

Enter a unique identifier in the Template ID (20-character limit with no spaces).
Enter the Template Name (35-character limit).
Select the Debit Account.
Select the Amount:
• Allow any amount up to the transfer limit. Enter a transfer limit in the field.
• Always use this amount
Confirm the Beneficiary Bank:
• Always use the same beneficiary
• Leave blank (will be required at entry)
Confirm Beneficiary:
• Always use the same beneficiary
• Allow text to be added to the beneficiary address only (optional at entry)
• Leave blank (will be required at entry)
Confirm Beneficiary Reference:
• Always use the same Beneficiary Reference
• Leave blank (will be optional at entry)
Confirm Payment Details:
• Always use the above text
• Allow text to be added to above (optional at entry)
• Leave blank (all text will be optional at entry)
• Disable (field will not appear on transfer)
Select the Number of Approvers (up to 5 additional approvers). Selecting “None” as the number of approvers will automatically approve and release the transfer, when created from this template, if the user submitting the transfer has approval entitlements.
Note: The template will also need to be approved before use.
If an Intermediary Bank is required to route the Wire appropriately, click the + icon to confirm the information.
• Always use the same Intermediary Bank
• Leave blank (will be optional at entry)

Select Submit Template. The template will be added to the Pending Items for approval.

International Wire
Create a Single Free-form International Transfer
Click Create Transfer.

Select the Type of transfer:
• Domestic Wire
• International Wire
• Intra-Bank (Book)
• Intra-Company
• International Request for Transfer
Select the Debit Account.
If this is a Dodd-Frank wire, select the checkbox entitled Transfer is for personal, family, or household purposes, if applicable.
Select the Amount Type:
• Credit Amount
• Debit Amount
Note: Amount Type provides the ability to specify the USD-equivalent amount on an international FX wire, and allows the user to enter either the Debit Amount or Credit Amount when creating international wires. The user will be able to enter either the Debit Amount in USD or the Credit Amount in either USD or a foreign currency.
Enter the Amount.
Select the Credit/Debit Currency from the dropdown. If specific rules apply to the currency selected, click the View Rules link.
Select the Send Date.
Select the Value Date. This Value Date may differ from the Send Date due to the destination on the Wire.
Note: The default Value Date shown is based on the selected Send Date and Currency. Changes to the date must adhere to the rules associated with both the currency and selected account. For example, the earliest Value Date for many currencies is 2 business days after the Send Date. Additional Consideration is given to international holidays for the selected currency.
If using an existing Contract Number, enter the Contract Number and click Get Rate. The contract rate and calculated debit amount will be displayed.
Note: The optional “Contract Number” field refers to the FX trade/ticket number. Please provide the FX contract number if you have executed one already or leave the field blank and click the “Get Rate” button to request one.
If a foreign exchange rate is required, select the Get Rate link to obtain a real-time rate. The amount will be calculated.
• A time sensitive rate will display in the Exchange Rate Information.
• Clicking Accept Rate enters your company into a legally binding Foreign Exchange contract with MUFG Union Bank, N.A.
• Once accepted, the rate and affected data cannot be changed.
Note: Certain foreign currencies have special processing rules associated with them. If this is the case, you can click View Rules to see the processing rules and requirements specific to the foreign currency.

SWIFT Code (a Search function is available for SWIFT Code and Bank Name assistance)
• Bank Name
• City, State, and Country
View IBAN formats: The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is typically used for payments going to any other countries that use the EURO as their main currency. If you have a beneficiary in any of these countries, he/she must provide the IBAN, so the international wire transfer will be processed correctly. The IBAN is entered in the Account Number field. The View IBAN formats link will show you the IBAN format for each of the eurozone countries. You should not try to reconstruct the IBAN based on the BIC Code and the account number. Only your beneficiary can provide you with his/her correct IBAN number.
Enter the Beneficiary information:
• Account Number (If entering an IBAN, click the View IBAN formats for assistance)
• Name
• Address
• City and State
• Country
Important information regarding the Beneficiary:
• Beneficiary Name and Address fields are limited to 33 characters and City/State field to 30 characters. One additional line of 33 characters can be added by clicking the (+) sign next to either of the field.

Select the International Fees type to define which party in the transaction will pay the international fees and other bank charges incurred for each transfer. International fees (also known as commission charges) are common in many international wires. These are fees charged by the intermediary banks to process a wire transfer through their bank.
• If “Shared” is selected, the charges are shared between the beneficiary and the sender.
• If “Ours” is selected, no intermediary fees apply, and the sender pays all charges. If you select this option, additional fees will be charged to your account.
If an Intermediary Bank is required to route the Wire appropriately, click the + icon to expand the section.

Enter the Intermediary Bank information:
• ABA—For a domestic bank selection
• SWIFT—For a foreign bank selection
• TEXT Number—For free-form input of Bank Name and Address fields only
• Search function is available for ABA, SWIFT, or TEXT and Bank Name assistance
• Bank Name
• City, State, and Country
Note: MUFG Union Bank, N.A., will choose the intermediary bank to deliver international wire payments. In some cases, your beneficiary will provide the specific intermediary bank to use for payments. MUFG Union Bank, N.A., may choose to route the wire transfer through an alternate intermediary bank to expedite processing or if the instructions provided are not correct.
Dodd-Frank Wires
International remittance transfers that are sent for personal, family, or household purposes are governed by the Dodd-Frank regulations. These transfers will require the following additional fields to be completed during wire creation:
• Sender Name is required
• Beneficiary Name is required
• Fees and Taxes are required. Select Get Fees and Taxes to populate this section
• International Fees are fixed to Ours
It is highly recommended you thoroughly review all data for accuracy and validate the beneficiary information before submitting the transfer.
Select Submit Transfer. The transfer will be added to the Pending Items for approval.
Select Review Transfer.

Create an Intra-Bank Book Transfer
If the Beneficiary is located at MUFG Union Bank, N.A., you can send an Intra-Bank (Book) transfer. Book transfers are settled on a real-time basis.
Click Create Transfer.
Click Create a Single Transfer. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) require an entry.
Note: If creating a transfer from a template, please see the section titled Create a single transfer from a template.
Select the Type of transfer:
• Domestic Wire
• International Wire
• Intra-Bank (Book)
• Intra-Company
• International Request for Transfer

Create Intra-Company Transfer
Intra-Company transfers are transfers between your MUFG Union Bank, N.A., accounts. Intra-Company transfers settle on a real-time basis and require a security token to complete.
Select Create Transfer.
Select Create a Single Transfer. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) require an entry.
Note: If creating a transfer from a template, please see the section titled Create a single transfer from a template.
Select the Type of transfer:
• Domestic Wire
• International Wire
• Intra-Bank (Book)
• Intra-Company
• International Request for Transfer
Enter the Amount.
Select the Send Date. Transfers may be future dated up to 20 business days in advance
Select the Debit Account (From).
Select the Credit Account (To).
It is highly recommended you thoroughly review all data for accuracy before submitting the transfer.

Create International Request for Transfer
You can create international requests for transfer in U.S. dollars or a foreign currency.

If you are sending an International Request for Transfer in foreign currency, enter the FX Deal Reference if applicable.
Select the Instructions Code and Detail:

• CMZB
• OTHR
• PHON
• RTGS
• URGP
Note: Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) is the recommended code. Select URGP for time-sensitive payments.
Enter the Beneficiary Bank:
• SWIFT Code or Bank Name (a Search function is available for SWIFT Code and Bank Name assistance)
• Address
• City, State, and Country

The respective templates will display. Click on the line item corresponding to the desired template.

Note: Batch transfers not submitted by the send date are retained for 5 business days. The retention period may differ by company.
Click Create Transfer.
Click Create a Batch of Transfers. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) require an entry.

Select the Type of transfer:
• Domestic Wire
• International Wire
• Intra-Bank (Book)
• Intra-Company
• International Request for Transfer
Enter the required information in the data fields.
Note: For assistance with the field definitions please see the Comprehensive Field Definitions located in the Appendix.
Select Add this Transfer to Batch. The transfer will be added to the Transfer Batch to the right of the data fields.
Repeat steps 3–5 until all transfers have been added to the batch.
It is highly recommended you thoroughly review all data for accuracy and validate the beneficiary information before submitting the transfers.
If a transfer requires updates, select Edit or Delete as appropriate.
Select Submit Transfers. The transfers will be added to the Pending Items for approval.

Select a print option for the transfer information:
• Print Transfer (one per page) to print each transfer on its own page
• Print Transfers with Detail (continuous) to print multiple transfers on a page.
If a transfer requires updates, select Edit or Delete as appropriate.
Once the transfer instructions and the beneficiary have been confirmed, click Submit Transfer.
IF SUBMITTING AN INTRA-COMPANY TRANSFER IF SUBMITTING ALL OTHER TRANSFERS
The approval screen will display prompting for the Security Token to be entered for approval. 1. Enter the token Passcode.2. Select Submit. The Intra-Company transfer will be
submitted for processing. 3. Select Cancel to cancel the transfer.
The Transfer Creation Confirmed screen will display with the option to Create Another Transfer. The transfers will be added to the Pending Items for approval.1. Select Print Transfers to print the transfer information.2. Select Create Another Transfer to create additional transfers.

Create a Drawdown Transfer
Access to Drawdown wires must be specifically requested at the account level and created by a template. Therefore, a user initiating a Drawdown wire must have access to Templates and Drawdown Wires.

Click Templates.
Click Create Template.

Import file templates can be created at any time via the File Template sub-tab. You can download the default file template which supports domestic, international USD, and book transfers, or, create a custom file tempalte. Custom file templates in CSV format can be tailored to support the specific wire types and fields that you use. You can exclude optional fields which are not used.
Select Import Transfer File. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) require an entry.

The Pending Items status bar displays the number of transfers and templates requiring approval or other action. Links to the Pending Items screen are activated when items exist. Your User Entitlements control the items and actions available on the Pending Items screen.
Pending Items Status:
• Transfers Pending Your Approval—Transfers that require your approval.
• Transfers Pending Company Approval—Transfers that require approval from other user(s).
• Rejected Transfers—Approved transfers submitted to the bank for processing that have been rejected.
• Expired Transfers—Transfers not approved by the Send Date cutoff time. These items are not included in the total number if transfers displayed on the Pending Items status bar.
• Approved Future-Dated Transfers—Approved transfers with a future Send Date. These items are not included in the total number of transfers displayed on the Pending Items status bar.

Note: Approvers are required to use a security token supplied by MUFG Union Bank, N.A., to authorize transfers.

Comprehensive Field Definitions
Transfer and template data field definitions are listed in the order they appear on the entry screens. All fields are required unless noted otherwise.
FIELD AND DEFINITION INSTRUCTIONS
Debit Account (Credit Account for Drawdown): Union Bank account to use for the transfer
Select account from the drop-down list.
Note: The account selection list only shows your entitled accounts. Use preferences to display list in a different order and/or with different account names.
Amount: Amount to be transferred Enter amount (only numbers and decimals allowed).
Note: For International Wires, you can select an Amount Type of either Debit Amount reflecting the amount to be debited from your account or Credit Amount reflecting the amount to be credited to the beneficiary. The Debit Amount option can be used when you wish to specify the USD-equivalent amount of foreign currency to be sent to the beneficiary. The Credit Currency dropdown list is used to specify the currency in which the beneficiary receives the funds.
Send Date: Date the transfer is to be sent Enter date or click the calendar to select date.
Note: Transfers may be future-dated up to 30 bank business days, with the exception of Foreign Currency International Wires. (See Value Date for foreign currency rules.)
Value Date (International Wire): Date the funds are to settle at the beneficiary party's account
Enter date or click the calendar to select date.
Note: The default Value Date shown is based on the selected Send Date and Currency. Changes to this date must adhere to rules associated with both the currency and selected account. For example, the earliest Value Date for many currencies is 2 business days after the Send Date.

Rate and Contract Number (Foreign Currency International Wire): Currency conversion information
To obtain a real-time rate quote:
• Click Get Rate. A rate displays in the Exchange Rate Information window.
• Click Accept Rate. Accepting the rate enters your company into a legally binding Foreign Exchange contract with Union Bank. Once accepted, the rate and affected data cannot be changed.
• The rate, contract number, and calculated Debit Amount display on your transfer entry screen.
To use an existing contract rate:
• Enter the rate.
• Enter the contract number. The calculated Debit Amount displays.
Beneficiary (or Debit Drawdown) Bank: Financial institution of the beneficiary (or drawdown) party's account.
Note: This section does not apply to Intra-Bank (Book) transfers since the beneficiary bank is Union Bank.
To search for a bank:
• Enter up to four characters of the ABA Number/SWIFT Code or Bank Name.
• Click Search for a list of matching banks.
• Click the bank from the list. The selected bank data displays on your transfer entry screen.
Beneficiary (or Drawdown) Party: Name and account number of the party receiving the funds (beneficiary) or having funds drawn (drawdown)
Enter Account Number.
Note: The account number for an International Wire must be in the proper format for the selected currency. If using an IBAN (International Bank Account Number), click View IBAN Formats for a list of accepted formats. Improper formatting may result in additional fees from downstream financial institutions.
Enter Account Name.
Enter Address fields (optional).
Beneficiary Reference (Domestic and International Wire): Reference information for the beneficiary
Enter up to 16 characters (optional) (ex: invoice #, etc.) for the benefit of the beneficiary.
Payment Details: Additional information for the beneficiary (or drawdown) party
Enter up to 140 characters (optional).
Note: Entry may be limited by template controls.

International Fees (International Wire): Method for applying fees
Select method:
• Shared: Fees are shared between sending and receiving parties.• Ours (additional fees will be incurred): Fees are incurred by you (the sender).• Beneficiary: Fees are incurred by the beneficiary per prior mutual agreement
between parties.
Originator (if activated): Original party requesting the transfer.
Note: Original information is required to satisfy Travel Rule compliance for organizations sending wires on behalf of a third party. All fields (name of originator, address, and complete account number) are required under “Originator.”
Enter Debit Account Number.
Note: This is the third party's account number (not your Union Bank account).
Enter Name.
Enter Address 1.
Enter Address 2 (optional).
Enter City, State (and Country, if International Wire).
Intermediary Bank (Domestic and International Wire): Financial institution where the transfer will first be routed (if required by the beneficiary bank).
Note: Union Bank may opt to route the wire through an alternate intermediary bank to expedite processing.
To enter a Domestic Wire intermediary bank:
• Click Intermediary Bank (optional) to display entry fields.
• Enter up to four characters of the ABA Number/SWIFT Code or Bank Name.
• Click Search for a list of matching banks.
• Click the bank on the list. The selected bank data displays on your transfer entry screen.
To enter an International Wire intermediary bank:
Click Intermediary Bank (optional) to display entry fields.
Select the Type:
• Text: For free-form, input Bank Name, and Address fields only.• ABA: For a domestic bank selection.• SWIFT: For a foreign bank selection.
Enter Bank Name and Address (Text type) or search for a bank (ABA/SWIFT type).
