Using Taskstream to Run Faculty Reports

All unit leads can use Taskstream to gather information about faculty for reporting purposes. For

the purposes of prioritization, the KPIs in the table below can be answered with the data

provided by faculty in the faculty credentialing module. Please note that in some cases, it may be

easier for unit leads to use other means or current data management processes to provide these

KPIs. Unit leads are welcome to use whatever tool is available and useful for reporting these data

points. The faculty credentialing module in Taskstream and its attached reporting mechanism

should be useful to this process, but its use is not required.

Coordinating Faculty Credential Data in Taskstream

Unit leads are given special administrative privileges that allow them to aggregate and report

faculty data.

After logging on to Taskstream, unit leads should select the “Faculty credentials” tab. This is the

same tab they would select if they were entering their own credentials.

Coordinators (Taskstream’s name for those with reporting rights), will have two additional icons

in the Faculty credentialing section: “Credential Faculty” and “Generate Reports.” If you do not

see these icons and you are a unit lead, email [email protected].

The “Credential Faculty” section allows each unit lead (coordinator) to review and confirm the

credentials of their faculty. While a useful tool, this process can be time intensive. Moving

forward, the use of the “Credential Faculty” tab may be useful in managing faculty credential

data input, but it is not immediately necessary as long as unit leads are carefully looking at the

faculty data reported and making sure it is in line with they know to be accurate.

To Clarify:

You can use the Credential Faculty module, but you are not required to.

activities.

For the purposes of prioritization, most users, will select 2015-2018 for the year range.

Once you have made your selections, you can click “Continue” at the bottom of the screen.

This area allows you to

only report activities

The report will show what faculty have entered information for each section, and the total

number of entries for each area.

Clicking on a hyperlinked number will give you a detailed look at what activities were entered

for each faculty.

By clicking the summary link at the bottom of each column, you can see a detailed list of all
