Using ZOOM for SANDI AssessmentsA Step-by-Step Guide for Teachers

Go to the NYC DOE “Teach From Home” pagehttps://www.schools.nyc.gov/learning/learn-at-home/teach-from-home

1. Click on the hyperlink to sign in to the TeachHub

2. Enter your User name(everything before @schools.nyc.gov)

3. Enter your Password(same password as you use for your DOE email)

Sign In

4. Click on the “Elementary School” tab

5. Click on the “zoom” icon

Zoom will open. You will see all of your Upcoming Meetings (if you have any scheduled).https://nycdoe.zoom.us/meeting#/upcoming

6. Click on the “Meetings” tab

7. Click on the “Schedule a Meeting” button

8. Edit the topic field Change text from “My Meeting” to “SANDI Assessment - [Student’s Name]”

9. Set the date and time

10. Set the duration

*Most settings are locked and cannot be changed

11. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Save” button

12. Click on “Show” to view Passcode

13. Share the Invite Link with student/parent*Don’t forget to provide student/parent

with the 11-digit Meeting ID and 6-digit Security Passcode

14. Click on the “Start this Meeting” button

15. Follow system dialog prompts, click on the “Open zoom.us” button

When your meeting has started, you will see a window like the one below.

16. Click on the “Participants” icon

17. View Participants, wait for student to join

1. Click on the “Participants” icon

18. Student will enter waiting room, click on the “Admit” button to allow them to join the meeting

When student is in the meeting, you will see a window like the one below.

19. Click on the green “^” to the right of the “Share Screen” icon

20. Click on the thumbnail [Microsoft PowerPoint - SANDI] to share the window

21. Click on the “Share” button
