==============================================================================Project Code: UTEX0024aProject Name: Texas Tribune 2015, Survey 1Prepared for: Jim HensonInterviews: 1200Field Period: February 6-16, 2015Project Manager: Sam Luks - 650.462.8009==============================================================================
YouGov interviewed 1438 respondents who were then matched down to asample of 1200 to produce the final dataset. The respondents werematched to a sampling frame on gender, age, race, education, partyidentification, ideology, and political interest. The frame wasconstructed by stratified sampling from the full 2012 AmericanCommunity Survey (ACS) sample with selection within strata by weightedsampling with replacements (using the person weights on the public usefile). Data on voter registration status and turnout were matchedto this frame using the November 2012 Current Population Survey.Data on interest in politics and party identification were thenmatched to this frame from the 2007 Pew Religious Life Survey.
The matched cases were weighted to a sampling frame of Texas registeredvoters using propensity scores. The matched cases and the frame werecombined and a logistic regression was estimated for inclusion in theframe. The propensity score function included age, gender, race/ethnicity,years of education, and ideology. The propensity scores were groupedinto deciles of the estimated propensity score in the frame andpost-stratified according to these deciles.
