• One (1) full-day callback every second week

during non-block time

• Lectures by experts in the field; ‘priority topic’ resident-

presentations; hands-on workshops (IUD insertion,

endometrial Bx, surgical skills workshop, etc)

• Topics include: prescribing course, EBM and research

project, behavioural medicine, etc.

• Mainly based out of RCH in New Westminster

• Multiple hospitals and diverse patient populations (vs. inner city focus)

• Block-based scheduling

• Fewer learners at teaching sites (mainly community hospitals)

• Extensive elective time (block, longitudinal, first and second year)

• FLEXIBILITY - Vacation, Preceptor choice, Hospital choice

• Most residents have access to a car (own, car-to-go, etc)
