The City University of Seattle (CityU) MBA program at University of Finance and Administration (VSFS) is an American graduate study program consisting of 16 courses. It is taught in English over 16 weekend sessions and takes a minimum 20 months to complete. Global accreditation is guaranteed by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges (NWCCU) and CAMBAS (Czech Association of MBA Schools) and the accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Current emphasis areas include Global Management, Marketing Management and Finance Management. The MBA program prepares students for top managerial positions in international companies or to lead their own firms via a comprehensive yet intensive and practical approach.

PROGRAM LENGTH20 months (holidays: July, August and December)

PROGRAM FORMATThe program starts twice a year in spring (April) and autumn (October). Program includes 16 courses. Current emphasis areas include Global Management, Marketing Management and Financial Management. Program is concluded with the capstone course in Business Strategy. Courses run one at a time and each lasts one month.

COURSE FORMATEach month, students complete one course including one weekend in-class session and four weeks of on-line learning. Courses start with an on-line session followed by three days weekend session in-class from Friday to Sunday. The weekend session is followed by learning, including participation in on-line discussions.

FACULTY STANDARDSInstructors || Accredited by City University of Seattle, the majority of instructors are native speakers with international business experience in large multinational corporations/companies. The faculty mix also includes part-time instructors teaching at other prestigious business schools in the Czech Republic. Forms of Evaluation || Students’ work is evaluated based on participation in-class and on-line. Assignments include presentations, case analyses, plans, research papers, calculations and others, depending on the nature of the course. Criterion for granting the internationally recognized MBA degree is the successful completion of all 16 courses.
