On Friday, July 5, 2013, Universal Studios Japan will open a next generation attraction, “NEW” The Amazing

Adventures of Spider-Man™ - The Ride 4K3D, and two summer-only events, Water Surprise Party and One Piece

Premier Summer. Additionally, during July (opening day to be determined soon), Biohazard The Real, an

overwhelmingly novel and groundbreaking shooting-type survival horror attraction, will open for a limited period only.

At Universal Wonderland, a very popular family area which will celebrate its second summer, moms can also enjoy ride

attractions with children to their hearts’ content in the world of very cute characters. Have a world’s-best summer

Since its opening in March 2012, Universal Wonderland has been visited by

many family guests and has significantly contributed to the achievement of

Universal Studios Japan’s accumulated total attendance of 100 million earlier

than expected in October 2012. Most recommendable to parents and children this

summer are eight ride attractions located in this wide area which hosts total 28

facilities. At a water slide, Peppermint Patty’s Stunt Slide (photo), moms too can

forget about time and have fun with the feeling of cool water and unpredictable

movement of water, and become refreshed, getting soaked by spray! The Flying

Snoopy, on which guests rotate in the air while operating it by themselves. At

Hello Kitty's Cupcake Dream, in which riders rotate swiftly on colorful cupcakes,

parents and children can fully enjoy the ride, catching a nice breeze, surrounded

by the world of characters that was created by attention to high-quality details.

Guests can enjoy the cooling sensation of water in their own way at Ernie's Rubber Duckie

One Piece world renews at the greatest scale ever! One Piece Premier Summer and One Piece Premier Show, a very popular live show which achieved amazingly high guest satisfactions of 99%, will take place this summer too.

Kitty’s Apple & Peach Frappe (¥500, photo, left), a peach frappe and pudding with apple jam, will be released. This is an

extremely cute dessert with a gummy shaped just like Hello Kitty’s ribbon. This summer’s most recommendable purchase is the

Water Shooter (photo, upper light) a renewal version for 2013! Obtain a dedicated strap for the water shooter (sold separately)

and join in splashing water on each other at Water Surprise Party, and double the fun of your summer. UV-protection hoodie

towel (photo, lower right), a must-have item to enjoy summer actively, and sandals feature illustrations of Hello Kitty,

Elmo, Snoopy and other Park characters. Guests, together with their children, can enjoy wearing these items.

Once again, an annual summer event, Water Surprise Party, a super-popular interactive entertainment, will take place

this summer, as in previous years. Guests can enjoy dancing with Elmo, Snoopy, Hello Kitty and other popular

characters of Universal Wonderland and cheerful dancers who appear to cheerful music, spray water on each other

using Water Shooters, and get soaked with spray showering down on participants in the Party from the water column

created by the huge water cannon to the height of about 60 meters overhead.* All participating guests feel cooler and

happier if they get together to enjoy the event to their hearts’ content. In particular, large amounts of spray emitted from

15 water cannons at the climax of the event results in a super surprise that people can experience only at Universal

One Piece Premier Summer, a special event held for a limited period only,

will take place from Friday July 5 to Sunday, September 8, 2013. One Piece

Premier Summer is produced on the theme of ONE PIECE (written by Eiichiro

Oda), a very popular comic whose accumulated total number of copies printed

has exceeded approx. 280 million and the number of its first-run printing

created a new Japanese record.

This summer, One Piece Premier Show, an event that has been highly popular

among many guests every year, has been upgraded and brought back to the Park.

Universal Studios Japan aims to achieve an even greater level of guest
