• Vblock System—This is an independent system comprising compute and networking from Cisco, storage from EMC, and virtualization from VMware. A self-contained RCM is associated with a Vblock System.

• VxBlock System—This is an independent system comprising storage from EMC, and compute, networking, and virtualization from Cisco, VMware, or other vendors. Optional SDN choices include VMware NSX and/or Cisco ACI. A self-contained RCM is associated with a VxBlock System.

• VCE™ Technology Extensions—This is a compute and/or storage resource type that expands a Vblock System, VxBlock System, or VCE Vscale Block.

• VCE Vscale™ Fabric—The spine-leaf fabric connects all VCE modular resource systems and blocks. The VCE Vscale Fabric is governed by its own RCM, which is separate from any VCE system RCMs.

• VCE Vscale Block—This is a resource component for the VCE Vscale framework. There are two types: VCE Vscale Block with Compute Extension and Vscale Block with Storage Extension.

• VCE VxRack™ System—This is a rack-scale hyper-converged infrastructure system with integrated compute, software-defined storage, networking and virtualization. A self-contained RCM is associated with a VxRack System.

• VCE Vscale™ Management Platform—This is the device manager for hardware within VCE systems. It provides the centralized data-center-wide management platform for the VCE Vscale architecture.

• VCE Vision Intelligent Operations software—This is a VCE software tool that manages the RCM across VCE systems and data-center components. It expands VCE Vision software to provide unified intelligence across all VCE Systems, enabling efficient multi-system management and converged operations at scale. It monitors system and component health, performance and capacity; provides network and fault isolation; and eliminates resource overhead
